Denmark In The Eurovision Song Contest 2020
Denmark originally planned to participate in the Eurovision Song Contest 2020 with the song " Yes" written by Emil Lei, Jimmy Jansson and Linnea Deb. The song was performed by the duo Ben and Tan. The Danish broadcaster DR organised the national final ' in order to select the Danish entry for the 2020 contest in Rotterdam, Netherlands. The national selection consisted of a radio semi-final and a televised final. In the final, the winner was selected over two rounds of voting. The results of the first round were decided upon through the combination of jury voting and public voting while in the second round, the winner was selected solely by public televoting. "Yes" performed by Ben and Tan was the winner after gaining 61% of the public vote. Ben & Tan
Ben and Tan are a Danish duo consisting of Benjamin Rosenbohm (born 3 June 2002) and Tanne Balcells (born 15 January 1998). They were due to represent Denmark in the Eurovision Song Contest 2020 in Rotterdam, with the song "Yes", until it was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In 2019, they both participated in the twelfth season of the talent show ''X Factor'' and became a duo after the show ended. Emmelie Charlotte-Victoria de Forest (born 28 February 1993) is a Danish singer and songwriter. De Forest represented Denmark with the song " Only Teardrops" in the Eurovision Song Contest 2013 in Malmö, Sweden, winning the contest. Her debut album '' Only Teardrops'' was released on the Universal Music label on 6 May 2013. Triangle Region Denmark ( da, Trekantområdet) is a cooperation consisting of seven Danish municipalities on the Danish peninsula of Jutland and the island of Funen: Billund, Fredericia, Haderslev, Kolding, Middelfart, Vejen and Vejle. The Region of Southern Denmark ( da, Region Syddanmark, ; german: Region Süddänemark, ; frr, Regiuun Syddanmark) is an administrative region of Denmark established on Monday 1 January 2007 as part of the 2007 Danish Municipal Reform, which abolished the traditional counties ("amter") and set up five larger regions. Funen
Funen ( da, Fyn, ), with an area of , is the third-largest island of Denmark, after Zealand and Vendsyssel-Thy. It is the 165th-largest island in the world. Witloof Bay
Witloof Bay is a Belgian a cappella group. Biography In 2005 six friends who all shared a love of jazz, pop, a cappella and beatbox decided to perform as a group. They took their inspiration from The Real Group, Take 6, The Swingle Singers and The Singers Unlimited. The band sing both in English and French. The band members themselves also come from all parts of the Belgian kingdom: Wallonia, Flanders and Brussels, thus the group believes they truly represent Belgium as a whole. Belgium participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2011 with the song "With Love Baby" written by RoxorLoops and Benoît Giaux. The song was performed by the group Witloof Bay. Senjka Danhieux (born 28 April 1984, in Jette), better known under his stage name RoxorLoops, is a Belgian beatboxer and songwriter.
