Denain Voltaire Basket
Denain Voltaire Basket is a French professional basketball club that was founded in 1947, and is based in Denain, France. The club plays in the LNB Pro B, which is the second-tier level pro competition in France. History The small club of the Voltaire school, moved up the French basketball hierarchy, until it reached the French basketball elite level in 1960, when it won the French Cup title. Five years later, the club won the top-level French League championship, with several players that had previously been Voltaire schoolchildren. In the late 1970s, the club gradually disappeared from the major French basketball landscape, before it began to once again climb up the French basketball ladder, and made it up to the French 2nd Division, for the 2011–12 season. The LNB Pro B, commonly known as Pro B, is the French basketball league system, 2nd-tier level men's professional basketball league in France. It is the second division of the Ligue Nationale de Basket (LNB), which has organized the league since the year 1987. The regular season champion and the winner of the promotion playoffs from each Pro B season are promotion and relegation, promoted to the French basketball league system, top-tier level LNB Pro A, replaced by the bottom two teams in Pro A. The two last placed teams are relegated to the third level, which is the Nationale Masculine 1, NM1. Kristófer Acox (born 13 October 1993) is an Icelandic basketball player for Valur of the Úrvalsdeild karla and a member of the Icelandic national basketball team, with whom he participated in the EuroBasket 2017. Billy Yakuba Ouattara (born January 24, 1992, in Tepa, Ghana) is a Ghanaian-French professional basketball player for AS Monaco of the LNB Pro A and EuroLeague. Professional career Ouattara first began his professional career out in France with the Élan Chalon of the LNB Pro A in 2012 as a 20-year-old. During his playing career, at a height of 1.97 m (6'5 ") tall, he played at the shooting guard and small forward positions. Denain (; pcd, Dnain) is a commune in the Nord department in northern France. Denain had a population of 19,877, on a land area of 11.52 km² (4.448 sq mi).
