Demon Fighter Kocho
is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Nonki Miyasu. It was published in the Shueisha ''seinen'' magazine '' Weekly Young Jump'' with the chapters bound into four volumes between September 1995 and October 1997. It was adapted into two 1997 live-action films and an anime original video animation (OVA). The OVA was released on DVD by Media Blasters in the United States on December 19, 2000. The theme song of Demon Fighter Kocho's United States edition is "Theme From Demon Fighter Kocho" by the American new wave, synthpop band Devo. The title was just changed from Devo's " Peek-a-Boo!" to "Demon Fighter Kocho". Reception Chris Beveridge of Mania.com gave the OVA episode a mixed review. He noted the one episode might have been better as a compilation of similarly length anime from Media Blasters, though the inclusion of the dubbing extras somewhat made up for that. Devo
Devo (, originally ) is an American rock band from Akron, Ohio, formed in 1973. Their classic line-up consisted of two sets of brothers, the Mothersbaughs (Mark and Bob) and the Casales (Gerald and Bob), along with Alan Myers. The band had a No. 14 ''Billboard'' chart hit in 1980 with the single " Whip It", the song that gave the band mainstream popularity. Magic Knight Rayearth
is a Japanese manga series created by Clamp. Appearing as a serial in the manga magazine ''Nakayoshi'' from the November 1993 issue to the February 1995 issue, the chapters of ''Magic Knight Rayearth'' were collected into three bound volumes by Kodansha, and were published from July 1994 to March 1995. is an editorial category of Japanese comics marketed toward young adult men. In Japanese, the word ''seinen'' literally means "youth", but the term "''seinen'' manga" is also used to describe the target audience of magazines like ''Weekly Manga Times'' and ''Weekly Manga Goraku'' which cater specifically to men's interests, and are marketed towards a demographic of young adult men between the ages of 18 and 40.
