Democrata Futebol Clube, also referred to as Democrata de Sete Lagoas, Democrata-SL or just Democrata, is a Brazilian association football team from the city of Sete Lagoas in Minas Gerais state. The Estádio Joaquim Henrique Nogueira, or Nogueirão, also nicknamed Arena do Jacaré (Caiman's Arena), is a football stadium located in Sete Lagoas, Minas Gerais state, it seats 20,020 people. The stadium's official name comes from a farmer from a traditional family of the region who gave the land which the stadium was built on, while the nickname comes from the mascot of local team Democrata Futebol Clube, a Caiman. History The stadium has 44 bathrooms, six dressing rooms and 19 press booths. Democrata-SL used to host their games at Estádio José Duarte de Paiva, which seated only 2,000 people. The official name comes from Joaquim Henrique Nogueira, a farmer who donated the lands used for construction. Vanderlei Luxemburgo
Vanderlei Luxemburgo da Silva (born 10 May 1952) is a Brazilian professional football coach and former player. He is currently a free agent. A left wingback, Luxemburgo represented Flamengo, Internacional and Botafogo before retiring in 1980. He subsequently became a coach and led Palmeiras, Corinthians, Cruzeiro and Santos to Série A titles, winning the tournament five times, a record total. In 2005 he worked at Real Madrid, but was dismissed in December of that year. His surname is after revolutionary Rosa Luxemburg. Campeonato Mineiro is the state football league of the state of Minas Gerais and is controlled by the Minas Gerais Football Federation FMF (Federação Mineira de Futebol).
