Demigodz
Demigodz are an American hip hop collective founded by Connecticut rappers Open Mic and Reflex. The group was originally named "The Nobility" but Open Mic renamed the group "The Demigodz" with inspiration from one of his own verses. The group has changed several times through the years. As of 2012, the group consists of; Apathy, Celph Titled, Ryu, Esoteric, Motive, & Blacastan. The group was originally formed in 1990 by Connecticut emcees Open Mic and Reflex. Apathy joined the group after hearing a demo on the University of Connecticut radio station 91.7. The group expanded during the 1990s to include several other members, and they took frequent outings to New York City in order to expose themselves to the East Coast hip hop scene. In the late 1990s, Apathy shifted his focus towards developing his solo career, but the group re-formed in 2000 with Celph Titled, Rise, Open Mic, One-Two, L-Fudge, Louis Logic, and 7L & Esoteric, as well as producer Chum the Skrilla Guerilla. Apathy (rapper)
Chad Bromley (born March 8, 1979), better known by his stage name Apathy (formerly "The Alien Tongue"), is a rapper and producer from Willimantic, Connecticut. His first major release was his debut album; '' Eastern Philosophy'' in March 2006 with guest appearances from Celph Titled, Ryu, and Blue Raspberry. His second album '' Wanna Snuggle?'' was released in 2009 and his third studio album '' Honkey Kong'' was released in 2011, both to critical acclaim. His fourth studio album, '' Connecticut Casual'' was released on June 3, 2014 and reached #41 in the R&B/Hip Hop Albums charts. ''Killmatic'' is an album by the American hip hop collective Demigodz, released in 2013 by Version Records. It was produced by rapper Apathy (who also serves as executive producer for the album), DJ Premier, Teddy Roxpin, Chumzilla (who also serves as disc jockey for three songs), Snowgoons, Skammadix, Will C, and Marco Polo. Pre-release On November 23, 2011, Celph Titled from Demigodz shared the first single, "Demigodz Is Back" from the Demigodz album entitled as ''Killmatic'' on Facebook. Celph Titled
Victor Mercer (born November 16, 1980), better known by his stage name Celph Titled, is an American rapper and record producer who is a member of the hip hop supergroup Army of the Pharaohs, as well as the Demigodz along with Connecticut rapper Apathy, Ryu from Get Busy Committee, and rapper Blacastan and Esoteric. Mercer moved to New York City and began working as an in-house producer and A&R. The now-defunct BUDS International and Bronx Science Records released all of his early records on vinyl, including those of his original group, Equilibrium, and singles from his longstanding partner, Apathy. Louis Logic
Louis Dorley, better known as Louis Logic, is a Brooklyn, New York-based underground hip-hop emcee. He has released three full-length studio albums as a solo artist and one album as The Odd Couple with Jay Love, and is a former member of the Demigodz, appearing on a number of tracks on the Godz Must Be Crazy EP. In 2006, he made his arrangement with longtime producer J.J. Brown official. Their last album together was released under the artist name "Louis Logic & J.J. Brown." History He first became interested in hip-hop at the age of eleven when he was exposed to U.T.F.O.'s hit "Roxanne, Roxanne". AOTP logo ''(as seen on In Death Reborn)'' Army of the Pharaohs (most commonly abbreviated as AOTP or A.O.T.P.) is an American underground hip hop collective originating from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, formed by Jedi Mind Tricks founder Vinnie Paz in 1998. The collective has strong links to other underground east coast groups such as Outerspace, Snowgoons, La Coka Nostra, Demigodz, 7L & Esoteric, and JuJu Mob. DJ Cheapshot (born Colton Fisher) is the DJ of the hip hop ensemble Styles of Beyond, Get Busy Committee, and Fort Minor. He is also associated with the Demigodz and the Get Busy Committee, as well as being the founder of SpyTech Records, which is located in Reseda, Los Angeles, and formally owned the ''Cheapshot's'' bar, which is located in Long Beach, California under new ownership as the Stache. Styles Of Beyond
Styles of Beyond was an American underground hip hop group from the San Fernando Valley of Los Angeles, California. The group consists of MCs Ryan Patrick Maginn (Ryu) and Takbir Bashir (Tak), Colton Raisin Fisher (DJ Cheapshot), and producer Jason Rabinowitz (Vin Skully). They have released two LPs, one mixtape and were heavily featured on Mike Shinoda's Fort Minor project in 2005. At one point they were also signed to Shinoda's Machine Shop Recordings label, although they left the label in late 2008. Get Busy Committee
Get Busy Committee (a.k.a. GBC) was a hip hop group consisting of underground rapper Apathy, Styles of Beyond's Ryu, and producer Scoop DeVille. Group Info Get Busy Committee was formed in Los Angeles, California, by longtime friends Ryu, Apathy and Scoop DeVille. They claim their influences come from Eazy-E, BBD (Bell Biv DeVoe), BDP (Boogie Down Productions). All production is done by Scoop DeVille and Apathy, while vocals are given by everyone in the group. Their debut album, ''Uzi Does It'', was released for pre-sale download on October 27, 2009 at www.getbusycommittee.com, and available on iTunes and other outlets on November 10, 2009. The album is a 100% self-funded and self-released independent record. Future As of 2012, Get Busy Committee is on hiatus, or "dead" as they refer to the status of the group.
