Demetrio González
Demetrio González (7 October 1927 – 25 January 2015) was a Spanish-born Mexican film actor and singer of ranchera music. Born in Asturias, Spain, he is sometimes called ''El Charro Español''. He has starred in ''ranchera''-music films from 1955 to 1968. ''Dos Corazones y un Cielo'' (1959), in which he co-starred with Rosa de Castilla and Eulalio González, is one of his most notable films. History CADA, formerly known as The Edge, is an Australian radio station licensed to Katoomba, New South Wales, and serving the Blue Mountains area of western Sydney. The radio station was launched on 7 September 1935, as 2KA. In December 1937, 2KA moved from 1160 kHz to 780 kHz. A repeater station on 1480 kHz was added in 1978. The Golden Age of Mexican cinema ( es, Época de Oro del Cine Mexicano) is a period in the history of the Cinema of Mexico between 1930 and 1969 when the Mexican film industry reached high levels of production, quality and economic success of its films, besides having gained recognition internationally. It began with the film ''Allá en el Rancho Grande'' (1936), directed by Fernando de Fuentes. In 1939, during World War II, the film industry in the US and Europe declined, because the materials previously destined for film production now were for the new arms industry. Many countries began to focus on making films about war, leaving an opportunity for Mexico to produce commercial films for the Mexican and Latin American markets. Eulalio "Lalo" González Ramírez (16 December 1921 – 1 September 2003), nicknamed "Piporro", was a Mexican actor, humorist, singer-songwriter, screenwriter, announcer, film director, and film producer. Early life González was born in the home of his maternal grandfather (Martín Ramírez) in Los Herrera, Nuevo León, to Pablo González Barrera, a customs officer from Ciudad Mier, Tamaulipas, and his wife Elvira Ramírez González. Due to his father's profession, González spent his early infancy in various states of northern Mexico.
