Laura Sárosi
Laura Sárosi (born 11 November 1992) is a Hungarian badminton player who competed at the 2016 Summer Olympics held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. 2016 European Championships During the 2016 European Championships held in France, Sárosi was eliminated in the second round. She beat Croatian Dorotea Sutara 21–8, 21–5 in the first round, before losing to Karin Schnaase of Germany, 21–16, 14–21, 18–21. During the match, Sárosi loaned her spare shoes to her opponent, after one of Schnaase's own shoes had fallen apart during the first set. The result meant that Sárosi did not gain enough ranking points to qualify directly for the 2016 Summer Olympics and was instead named as the second reserve. Sárosi was later given a place in the Games after unused Tripartite Commission wildcards were reallocated. Özge Bayrak (born 14 February 1992) is a Turkish badminton player. She is coached by Çağatay Taşdemir at Egospor club of Ankara Metropolis Municipality. Currently, she is studying at Aksaray University. She competed at various international tournaments in singles and doubles with her partner Neslihan Yiğit. At the 2013 Mediterranean Games held in Mersin, Turkey, she won the silver medal in the women's singles event, and the gold medal in the women's doubles event along with Neslihan Yiğit. In August 2014, the National Olympic Committee of Turkey named her one of the sixteen "golden" sportspeople of Turkey, who have a great chance to win a medal at the 2016 Summer Olympics. Lauren Smith (badminton)
Lauren Smith (born 26 September 1991) is an English badminton player. She competed for England in the women's doubles and mixed team events at the 2014 Commonwealth Games where she won a bronze and silver medal respectively. In 2016, she represented Great Britain at the Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Teamed-up with Gabby Adcock, she won the women's doubles gold medals at the English National Badminton Championships in 2013 and 2014. In 2015 and 2016, she also won the women's doubles title partnered with Heather Olver. Heather Olver (born 15 March 1986) is an English badminton player. Her career highlights so far include mixed team and mixed doubles silver at the 2014 Commonwealth Games, European women’s doubles bronze, and reaching the final of the 2013 London Grand Prix Gold and Scottish Open.
