Delio Rossi
Delio Rossi (born 26 January 1960) is an Italian football manager and former footballer who played as a midfielder. He was most recently in charge as head coach of Serie B club Ascoli. Playing career Rossi was born in Rimini. His playing career was not a bright one, as he reached his personal top from 1981 to 1983, playing in the Serie B with U.S. Foggia, where he spent most of his footballing time. He retired in 1989, after a season played with Fidelis Andria of Serie C2. Managerial career Early years and Serie A debut with Salernitana Rossi, a sports science graduate with honours, took his first coaching job in 1990, aged 29, at Torremaggiore, of Promozione league, immediately winning the championship. Delio "Maravilla" Gamboa RenterĂa (28 January 1936 – 23 August 2018) was a Colombian football player. Gamboa's career ran from 1955 to 1974 in which time he played for AtlĂ©tico Nacional, Millonarios, Independiente Santa Fe, Once Caldas, and Deportes Tolima, "Maravilla" translates directly to "wonder". In the beginning Born in Buenaventura ( Valle del Cauca), Colombia, Delio Gamboa signed with AtlĂ©tico Nacional in 1958, after getting noticed playing in a "aficionado" national league. A year later, Gamboa was transferred to a football club named CD Oro based out of Mexico. He was considered to be their most important player for two straight seasons. He led Oro to be runners-up of the Mexican Domestic league in his first season with the club. Time with Colombia National Team Delio took part in the 1961 Colombia National Squad which qualified for the following years FIFA World Cup. Michelle Delio is a freelance writer whose articles have appeared in Wired News, InfoWorld, and the MIT Technology Review. She has also written under her maiden name "Michelle Finley". In 2005, it was alleged that Delio had made up 'color quotes' for some of her articles. The incident began when Delio published an article at MIT Technology Review based on an interview with 'G.S', an anonymous insider at Hewlett-Packard who claimed the existence of a misogynistic attitude at the company towards then-CEO Carly Fiorina and female staff in general. After Hewlett-Packard challenged the author's sources, MIT Technology Review retracted the article. Delio Onnis
Delio Onnis (born 24 March 1948) is a former professional football player who played as striker. Born in Italy, his family emigrated to Argentina in his youth and he was nicknamed ''"El Tano"'' (the Italian) in Argentina. With 299 goals, he is the all-time top highest goalscorer in the history of Ligue 1 in France, and was the league's top scorer on five different occasions. He played the majority of his career for Stade de Reims, AS Monaco, Tours FC and Sporting Toulon Var. With Monaco he won one league title and one Coupe de France. Career Onnis was born in Giuliano di Roma in Italy, but moved to Argentina before he was 3 and subsequently gained Argentinian citizenship. Delio RodrĂguez
Delio RodrĂguez Barros (19 April 1916 – 14 January 1994) was a Spanish professional road racing cyclist and sprinter. Despite winning 12 stages at the 1941 Vuelta and 8 stages at the 1942 Vuelta, RodrĂguez failed to make the top five places in the overall standings. Due to World War II, the event was not held in 1943 and 1944, but RodrĂguez wanted to win the 1945 event, which he did by going on an early breakaway and winning stage 2 by over a half-hour. In the end, Delio won the event by over 30 minutes, captured six stages and the points classification, too. At the 1947 Vuelta, he finished on the podium in third, and finished with eight stage wins. RodrĂguez is the all-time record holder for stage wins at the Vuelta a España with 39 stage wins conducted over 5 events. RodrĂguez had two younger brothers, Emilio and Manolo that were also professional cyclists. Emilio won the overall race while Manolo came second in the 1950 Vuelta a España.
