Delian Island is an island found in the Calamianes Islands in the province of Palawan, Philippines. Geography The average elevation of the island is 76 m above sea level. Population An estimated 2.82% of the children below 5 years old living in the island are underweight. Weather April is the warmest month with an average temperature of 32.3 °C at noon while January is the coldest month with an average temperature of 22.6 °C at night. The island has no distinct temperature seasons, the temperature is relatively constant during the year. The temperatures do not differ much between day and night. September is on average the month with most sunshine. The wet season has a rainfall peak around October, the dry season is around the month of March. The Calamian Islands or the Calamianes is a group of islands in the province of Palawan, Philippines. It includes: * Busuanga Island * Coron Island * Culion Island * Calauit Island * Malcapuya Island * Banana Island * Pass Island * Calumbuyan Island * ''several minor islets'' History Historically, the Calamianes was site of the Spanish politico-militar ''Provincia de Calamianes''. It became the site of a Presidio or a Spanish military garrison, and the small group of islands received, almost 100 Spanish and Mexican soldier-colonists in the 1670s. The Spanish Empire later purchased mainland Paragua from the Sultan of Borneo. During the American occupation (1898-1948), the old ''Provincia de Calamianes'' was dissolved and jointly administered with the Island of Paragua as the new Province of Palawan. Mimaropa
Mimaropa (usually capitalized in official government documents), formally known as the Southwestern Tagalog Region, is an administrative region in the Philippines. It was also formerly but still colloquially designated as Region IV-B until 2016. It is one of two regions in the country having no land border with another region (the other being Eastern Visayas). The name is an acronym combination of its constituent provinces: Mindoro (divided into Occidental Mindoro and Oriental Mindoro), Marinduque, Romblon and Palawan. Coron, officially the Municipality of Coron ( tgl, Bayan ng Coron), is a 1st class municipality in the province of Palawan, Philippines. According to the 2020 census, it has a population of 65,855 people. The main population center of the municipality is composed of Poblacion barangays 1 to 6, where the Municipal Building, the Municipal Legislative Building, and the Judicial Hall of the Municipal Circuit Trial Court are located.
