Deli Creeps
The Deli Creeps were an Avant-garde music, avant-garde band consisting of singer Maximum Bob (singer), Maximum Bob, guitarist Buckethead, drummer Pinchface and various bass players, most recently Dan Monti, Daniel Monti. Though Buckethead is the only member who makes a consistent effort to hide his identity, little is known about the other members of the band. Deli Creeps have never released an official album, but many of their songs have been repurposed for Buckhead's solo albums. Biography The Deli Creeps formed in the late 1980s/early 1990s in Claremont, California, Claremont, Southern California, United States, but shortly after moved to San Francisco. In 1991 they released their first demo tape with bassist Tony Black, after which they gained a strong loyal following before splitting up for the first time. Metallica
Metallica is an American heavy metal band. The band was formed in 1981 in Los Angeles by vocalist/guitarist James Hetfield and drummer Lars Ulrich, and has been based in San Francisco for most of its career. Onomatopoeia
Onomatopoeia is the process of creating a word that phonetically imitates, resembles, or suggests the sound that it describes. Such a word itself is also called an onomatopoeia. Common onomatopoeias include animal noises such as ''oink'', ''meow'' (or ''miaow''), ''roar'', and ''chirp''. Recitative
Recitative (, also known by its Italian name "''recitativo''" ()) is a style of delivery (much used in operas, oratorios, and cantatas) in which a singer is allowed to adopt the rhythms and delivery of ordinary speech. Recitative does not repeat lines as formally composed songs do. It resembles sung ordinary speech more than a formal musical composition. Recitative can be distinguished on a continuum from more speech-like to more musically sung, with more sustained melodic lines. Psychotic
Psychosis is a condition of the mind that results in difficulties determining what is real and what is not real. Symptoms may include delusions and hallucinations, among other features. Additional symptoms are incoherent speech and behavior that is inappropriate for a given situation. ''Profanation (Preparation for a Coming Darkness)'' is the last album by Praxis, released in Japan on January 1, 2008. The album features guest appearances by Iggy Pop, Mike Patton, Serj Tankian and Killah Priest among others; notably it features some of the last known recordings of hip-hop emcee & gothic-futurist visual artist Rammellzee. The album had a US release via M.O.D. Technologies in 2011. For more than a year the album was only available for purchase by ordering it from Japan. Japanese website "Neowing" released samples of each song. On February 3, 2009 it was available as a download. A US version was released on January 25, 2011, through Bill Laswell's new label, M.O.D. Praxis (band)
Praxis is the name of an experimental rock project, led by producer/bassist Bill Laswell and featuring guitarist Buckethead and drummer Brain in nearly every incarnation of the band. The group worked with many other artists such as Serj Tankian from System of a Down, Iggy Pop, DXT and DJ Disk. Biography Early days Bill Laswell initially used the name Praxis for an experimental solo EP recorded for Celluloid Records in 1984, simply named "1984". 1992–1996 The band's debut album, '' Transmutation (Mutatis Mutandis),'' released in 1992, was well received by critics. ''Enter the Chicken'' is the fourteenth studio album by musician Buckethead. The album was released on October 25, 2005 by Serj Tankian's label Serjical Strike. It has eleven songs, two of which are less than twenty seconds long. It contains appearances from such artists as Saul Williams, Maximum Bob, Efrem Schulz and Serj Tankian. The album includes "We Are One", one of the few Buckethead songs for which a music video was made. The song also appears on the horror series soundtrack Masters of Horror and also in one episode. "Three Fingers" also appears on the soundtrack of the horror movie ''Saw II''. The last song from the album, the instrumental piece "Nottingham Lace" (previously released on Buckethead's official website) closes the album, and is one of Buckethead's most popular songs, often played in concerts along with "Jordan" known from the game ''Guitar Hero II'' and "Soothsayer" from the album ''Crime Slunk Scene''.
