Delfin Albano, officially the Municipality of Delfin Albano ( ibg, Ili nat Delfin Albano; ilo, Ili ti Delfin Albano; tl, Bayan ng Delfin Albano), is a 4th class municipality in the province of Isabela, Philippines. According to the 2020 census, it has a population of 29,928 people. The municipality was formerly known as Magsaysay. It was named after the former congressman, Delfin Albano. Etymology On November 14, 1982, by virtue of Batas Pambansa Blg. 291, the municipality was renamed to its current name in honor of its native legislator, Congressman Delfin Albano. Santo Tomas, officially the Municipality of Santo Tomas ( ibg, Ili nat Santo Tomas; ilo, Ili ti Santo Tomas; tl, Bayan ng Santo Tomas), is a 4th class municipality in the province of Isabela, Philippines. According to the 2020 census, it has a population of 24,528 people. In 1952, Santo Tomas lost two barrios when the barrios of Abut and Minagbag were transferred to the newly created town of Mallig. Ilagan, officially the City of Ilagan ( ibg, Siudad nat Ilagan; ilo, Siudad ti Ilagan; fil, Lungsod ng Ilagan), is a 1st class component city and capital of the province of Isabela, Philippines. Ramon del Fierro Magsaysay Sr. (August 31, 1907 – March 17, 1957) was a Filipino statesman who served as the seventh president of the Philippines, from December 30, 1953, until his death in an aircraft disaster on March 17, 1957. An automobile mechanic by profession, Magsaysay was appointed military governor of Zambales after his outstanding service as a guerrilla leader during the Pacific War. Tumauini, Isabela
Tumauini, officially the Municipality of Tumauini ( ibg, Ili nat Tumauini; ilo, Ili ti Tumauini; tl, Bayan ng Tumauini), is a 1st class municipality in the province of Isabela, Philippines. According to the 2020 census, it has a population of 70,743 people. The Tumauini Church is currently in the tentative list for UNESCO World Heritage Sites under the ''Baroque Churches of the Philippines (Extension)''. A proposal has been suggested by scholars to make a separate UNESCO inclusion for the ''Old Centre of Tumauini which includes the Tumauini Church''. The same would be made for other churches listed in UNESCO's tentative sites, where each town plaza and surrounding heritage buildings would be added.
