Dekai
Dekai is a town in the province of Highland Papua, Indonesia, and the actual administrative center of Yahukimo Regency. The official administrative center of Yahukimo Regency is Sumohai. Sumohai is located 25 kilometers north of Dekai, and due to the lack of infrastructure in Sumohai, the administrative center of Yahukimo Regency is in Dekai. Nop Goliat Dekai Airport
Nop Goliat Dekai Airport is an airport serving the town of Dekai, the capital of Yahukimo Regency, Highland Papua, Indonesia. Nop Goliat Airport is one of the seven pioneer airports that connects 517 villages in Yahukimo. Construction of the airport Nop Goliath is built on an area of 230 hectares, there have been initiated in the period 2004-2010 by using a budget of Rp 321 billion The airport was built to be a logistics distribution center in the highland region of Papua, as well as supporting the mobility of people and goods. Yahukimo Regency
Yahukimo Regency is one of the regencies (''kabupaten'') in the Indonesian province of Highland Papua. It covers an area of 17,152 km2, and had a population of 164,512 at the 2010 Census, but this figure more than doubled to reach 350,880 at the 2020 Census; the official estimate as at mid 2021 was 355,746. The administrative centre is the town of Dekai. The regency was once part of the Jayawijaya Regency, but was split off in 2002. Several famines have affected Yahukimo Regency. In 2005, around 60 people died and at least 117 fell seriously ill after a food shortage. The Köppen climate classification is one of the most widely used climate classification systems.
