Deer Park Bypass Wellness Trail
__NOTOC__ The Wellness Trail is a shared use path for cyclists and pedestrians running alongside the Deer Park Bypass in the western suburbs of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. The trail is named the Wellness Trail and is signed as such, once only, at its most easterly end. Regardless of this naming, the trail is signed as the Western Fwy Path from one end to the other. Adding to the confusion is that it connects to the Western Ring Road Trail. Following the path The path meets the Western Ring Road Trail on the south side of the bypass at Fitzgerald Rd. It crosses to the north side at Mt Derrimut Rd, crosses Robinsons Rd, turns north to cross Riding Boundary Rd and finishes at the Western Highway at Caroline Springs. The trail features six rest stops with thirty mosaics on the subject of mental health, created by patients at Sunshine Hospital. Sunshine Railway Station, Melbourne
Sunshine railway station is located on the Sunbury line in Victoria, Australia. Originally named Braybrook Junction for the convergence of the major railways from central Melbourne to Ballarat and Bendigo, it was renamed when the suburb of Sunshine, which it serves, took its name from the nearby Sunshine Harvester Works. With the expansion of the railway network in Melbourne's west, Sunshine grew in importance, with cross-suburban goods routes constructed to Newport and from the adjacent Albion to Jacana line. From the mid-20th century, it became an interchange for the main interstate routes to South Australia and New South Wales, when the through line from Melbourne to Sydney was completed, although the main line to Adelaide was later diverted. Kororoit Creek Trail
__NOTOC__ The Kororoit Creek Trail is a shared use path for cyclists and pedestrians, which follows the Kororoit Creek in the inner western suburbs of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. The interrupted upper section is located in Burnside and Deer Park, the uninterrupted middle section starts in Ardeer and proceeds to Brooklyn, while the lower section is located in Altona. Following the trail Upper section (interrupted) The trail starts in Caroline Springs, on to Burnside continuing through to Albanvale and then Deer Park (approx 10 km). The trail starts as a concrete path in Caroline Springs, where Caroline Springs Boulevarde crosses the creek. Some 2 km later use the road section from Westwood Drive to Bilungah Place. Ginifer Railway Station
Ginifer railway station is located on the Sunbury line in Victoria, Australia. It serves the western Melbourne suburb of St Albans, and opened on 31 October 1982. History Ginifer station opened on 31 October 1982. It was first announced in June 1977, by the then Transport Minister Joe Rafferty, and was scheduled for completion by late 1978. Originally to be named Furlong, after the nearby arterial road, when opened it was named Ginifer, in honour of Jack Ginifer, a former local member of State Parliament. In 1984, boom barriers were provided at the former Furlong Road level crossing, which was located nearby in the Down direction of the station. In 1994, the station was provided with CCTV. Western Ring Road Trail
__NOTOC__ The M80 Trail (previously known as the Western Ring Road Trail) is a shared-use path for cyclists and pedestrians that bridges the northern suburbs and follows the Western Ring Road/Metropolitan Ring Road (M80) freeway in Melbourne, Australia. Route The western end of the path begins at the end of Merino Street in Sunshine West, branching off from the Federation Trail. The path then runs relatively parallel to the Western Ring Road. The path's route passes Keilor Park Drive, Malvern and Coventry Streets, and Jacana railway station. There are also intersections with Moonee Ponds Creek Trail and Craigieburn Bypass Trail.
