Deeds Of Flesh
Deeds of Flesh is an American brutal death metal band from Los Osos, California, U.S. They were formed in 1993 by Jacoby Kingston, Erik Lindmark (1972–2018) and Joey Heaslet, and remained active until Lindmark's death in 2018. They founded their own label, Unique Leader Records, which has since become home to a number of other death metal bands from around the world. Deeds of Flesh have released nine studio albums, their most recent being ''Nucleus'' which was released in 2020. Overview Brief history Deeds of Flesh formed in 1993. They signed to Wild Rags Records and released their first EP, entitled ''Gradually Melted''. They then moved labels to the now-defunct Repulse Records, and released their first full-length album, entitled ''Trading Pieces'', in 1996. Los Osos (Spanish language, Spanish for "the bears") is an unincorporated area, unincorporated town and census-designated place (CDP) in San Luis Obispo County, California. Located on the Central Coast (California), Central Coast of California, Los Osos had a population estimated to be 16,533 in 2019. Francis P.Mull Eugene Mullen (born January 2, 1970) is an American vocalist, best known as the former frontman for the New York technical death metal band Suffocation. He is one of the first vocalists to introduce low-pitched growling vocals into the death metal genre. He performed and recorded with the band from 1989 to 2018. Early life Mullen was born on January 2, 1970, and grew up in Long Island, New York. He became a fan of metal music from a young age and was initially attracted to albums like Slayer’s Hell Awaits and Exodus's ''Bonded by Blood'' through their album cover art. He met bandmates Terrance Hobbs and Mike Smith in high school and they formed a metal cover band, Wombrot, in which he initially played bass. Impaled is a death metal band from Oakland, California. The band's name is a backronym, standing for "Immoral Medical Practitioners And Licentious Evil-Doers". History The band was founded by guitarist Sean McGrath in late 1996, who joined with drummer Raul Varela, guitarist Jared Deaver (ex-Deeds of Flesh, ex-Severed Savior) and bassist Ron Dorn to record their 1997 demo ''Septic Vomit''. In 1998, Leon del Muerte, former guitarist for Exhumed, was added to the line-up as a lead vocalist. With the departure of Jared Deaver, del Muerte took on second guitar duties in addition to lead vocals. Psycroptic are an Australian technical death metal band formed in Hobart, Australia in 1999. Mainstay members are Dave Haley on drums and his brother Joe Haley on guitar. Their lead vocalist, Jason Peppiatt, joined in 2004. In 2008 they signed to Nuclear Blast. As of February 2019, the band have released seven studio albums. Hate Eternal is a death metal band from St. Petersburg, Florida. The band currently consists of founding guitarist/vocalist Erik Rutan and bassist J. J. Hrubovcak. To date, Hate Eternal has released seven studio albums: '' Conquering the Throne'' (1999), '' King of All Kings'' (2002), ''I, Monarch'' (2005), '' Fury & Flames'' (2008), ''Phoenix Amongst the Ashes'' (2011), ''Infernus'' (2015), and ''Upon Desolate Sands'' (2018). Severe Torture is a Dutch death metal band, formed in 1997 by drummer Seth van de Loo and bassist Patrick Boleij. History The band was formed in 1997 by Thijs van Laarhoven on guitar, Seth van de Loo on drums, Erik de Windt on vocals, Jelle Schuurmans on guitar and Patrick Boleij on bass guitar. This lineup recorded a five song demo tape called ''Baptized in Virginal Liquid'', produced by Vincent Dijkers, ( Sinister, Houwitser), in 1998, a tape which eventually sold 600 copies all over the world. After releasing the demo, Erik left the group to join the Dutch death metal band Sinister. Monstrosity (band)
Monstrosity is an American death metal band which originated in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, during the Florida death metal scene of the early 1990s. History Vocalist George "Corpsegrinder" Fisher and drummer Lee Harrison and bass player Mark Van Erp were the founders of Monstrosity. Harrison had just left the band Malevolent Creation and George Fisher gave up a band in his hometown of Maryland and came to Florida in 1990. Jon Rubin who had played guitar in Malevolent Creation also joined to form Monstrosity. Mark Van Erp played bass in the band Cynic and he left Cynic to join Monstrosity.
