Debdale Park
Debdale Park is an inner-city park, located in the Gorton area of Manchester, England. At around , it is one of the largest inner-city parks in the City of Manchester. Located in the grounds of Debdale Park there is a members only bowling green, children's play area, multi-use games area (MUGA), skate park, tennis courts (free for use), football pitch, disused 9 hole pitch and putt, toilets and a visitor & community centre. Close to the park are two large reservoirs for licensed fishing and the neighbouring Debdale Outdoor Centre provides an exciting range of activities include dinghy sailing, windsurfing, canoeing and kayaking, along with indoor climbing, orienteering and team-building activities. Heaton Park Tramway
The Heaton Park Tramway is a heritage tramway that operates within Heaton Park, a large municipal park in the English city of Manchester. It is operated by the Manchester Transport Museum Society, a registered charity. In normal times, the tramway operates on Sunday afternoons between March and mid-November and on Saturday afternoons between May and mid-September. Hag Fold Railway Station
Hag Fold railway station is one of the local stations that lie on the Atherton line, between Wigan and Manchester, England. The station is located 13 miles (20 km) west of Manchester Victoria with regular Northern Trains services to these towns as well as Salford, Swinton, Walkden and Hindley. The station was built in 1987 by British Rail to serve the Hag Fold estate in Atherton, and is only staffed during the morning and lunchtime period (06:25 to 12:55, weekdays only). Improvement works to the station are planned, in order to replace the flimsy platforms which have begun to suffer from considerable wear and tear and vandalism. Docklands Light Railway
The Docklands Light Railway (DLR) is an automated light metro system serving the redeveloped Docklands area of London, England and provides a direct connection between London's two major financial districts, Canary Wharf and the City of London. First opened on 31 August 1987, the DLR has been extended multiple times, giving a total route length of . Lines now reach north to Stratford, south to Lewisham, west to and in the City of London financial district, and east to Beckton, London City Airport and Woolwich Arsenal. Docklands Light Railway Rolling Stock
Docklands Light Railway rolling stock is the passenger trains and service vehicles (collectively known as 'rolling stock') used on the Docklands Light Railway (DLR), which serves the London Docklands area in the east of London. The passenger stock consists of high-floor, bi-directional, single-articulated EMUs. The trains are formed from sets of two or three semi-permanently connected cars, the increase to three-car trains being introduced progressively on the busiest routes in 2010, following substantial platform extension works. Hyde Road Railway Station
Hyde Road was a railway station in Gorton, Manchester, England, on the Fallowfield Loop Line. It opened in 1892 and closed in 1958, when local passenger services on the line were withdrawn. The station was sometimes advertised as Hyde Road for Belle Vue, given its close proximity to Belle Vue Zoo which was about one mile away. The line was closed completely in 1988 and the track was taken up. The station has long since been demolished and the site was partly redeveloped. The former trackbed is now a popular shared use path called the Fallowfield Loop. The station was named after Hyde Road, which begins at the east end of Ardwick Green South in Ardwick and runs east towards Hyde. Manchester Metrolink
Manchester Metrolink (branded locally simply as Metrolink) is a tram/ light rail system in Greater Manchester, England. The network has 99 stops along of standard-gauge route, making it the most extensive light rail system in the United Kingdom. Metrolink is owned by the public body Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM) and operated and maintained under contract by a Keolis/ Amey consortium.
