''Dear Youth'' is the fourth album by American metalcore band The Ghost Inside (band), the Ghost Inside, and was released on November 17, 2014. It is the last release to feature guitarist Aaron Brooks. The album spawned two major singles: in order of release, "Avalanche" and "Dear Youth (Day 52)". Music videos were released for "Out Of Control", "Dear Youth (Day 52)", and "Move Me". An official live video was released for "Avalanche". ''Dear Youth'' was the last album released before the band's drastic tour bus crash that killed their driver and inflicted life-threatening injuries to the band members. Andrew Wade
Andrew Robert Wade (born August 4, 1984) is an American recording engineer and music producer. Early years and A Wish for Marilynne (2002–2006) In August 2002, Wade started playing guitar and singing lead vocals in Christian rock/emo band A Wish for Marilynne. By September 2003, the band had written seven songs, three of which made it on to a demo tape, that was recorded four months prior.Robbins 2003, p. 74 In an interview with the ''Ocala Star-Banner'' the band said that once they had ten songs they were going to start recording, and Wade said "it's (going to) be a lot better than the demo." By this point, the group had performed a total of twelve shows. The Ghost Inside, formerly known as A Dying Dream, is an American metalcore band from Los Angeles, California, formed in 2004. The band currently consists of vocalist Jonathan Vigil, guitarists Zach Johnson and Chris Davis, bassist Jim Riley and drummer Andrew Tkaczyk. They have released one EP and five studio albums, with their latest, '' The Ghost Inside'', released on June 5, 2020 via Epitaph Records as a return from their hiatus. Melodic Hardcore
Melodic hardcore is a broadly defined subgenre of hardcore punk with a strong emphasis on melody in its guitar work. It generally incorporates fast rhythms, melodic and often distorted guitar riffs, and vocal styles tending towards shouting and screaming. Nevertheless, the genre has been very diverse, with different bands showcasing very different styles. Epitaph Records is an American independent record label owned by Bad Religion guitarist Brett Gurewitz. Jeremy Wade McKinnon (born December 17, 1985) is an American singer, songwriter, and record producer, best known as a founding member and the lead vocalist of A Day to Remember. He has produced full-length albums for The Ghost Inside, Neck Deep, and Wage War. Biography Jeremy McKinnon was raised in Ocala, Florida and grew up with two sisters. His parents are originally from Brooklyn, New York and he is of Irish and Italian descent. McKinnon first got a job at Boston Market and later went on to do construction work. It is dedicated, in the inner CD case, to the memory of Ryan Vigil, brother of vocalist Jonathan Vigil. ''The Ghost Inside'' is the fifth album by American metalcore band The Ghost Inside. The album was released on June 5, 2020, through Epitaph Records. It is the band's first release since they were involved in a deadly tour bus crash in 2015, and is also the first to feature guitarist Chris Davis, who joined the band in 2016 after serving as a touring member. On November 19, 2015, The Ghost Inside's tour bus collided with a semi-trailer truck just outside of El Paso, Texas. Both drivers died, and several band and crew members received serious injuries; vocalist Jonathan Vigil sustained a fractured back, damaged ligaments, and two broken ankles, while drummer Andrew Tkaczyk spent ten days in a coma and had one of his legs amputated. Although they were invited on Warped Tour in 2017, The Ghost Inside had to cancel their performance, as they were still recovering from the collision. David Bendeth
David Jonathan Bendeth (born 17 June 1954) is a multi-platinum award-winning record producer. Early life David Bendeth was born on 17 June 1954 in Stoke Newington, Hackney, London, England. He attended Parkhill School in Ilford, London and in 1963, his family moved to Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Bendeth attended Georges Vanier Secondary School. Following graduation in 1973, Bendeth was to attend university, however he left for a summer vacation to London and stayed there. His first job in London was at Harlequin Records and he eventually joined the house band playing guitar at Speakeasy, a London club, along with Joe Jammer. In 1976, he returned to Canada. Ted Jensen
Ted Jensen (born September 19, 1954) is an American mastering engineer, known for having mastered many recordings, including the Eagles' ''Hotel California'', Green Day's '' American Idiot'' and Norah Jones' ''Come Away with Me''. Biography Ted Jensen was born to Carl and Margaret (Anning) Jensen, both of whom were musicians. Carl had studied at Yale University. Margaret went to Oberlin College & Conservatory and Skidmore College and was also a pilot. Carl and Margaret met on a train while going to a choral workshop.
