Deadline (2001 Film)
''Deadline'' is a 2001 Swedish thriller. It was released in the US as ''The Bomber'' which is a direct translation of its original Swedish title ''Sprängaren'' which is the same as the novel by Liza Marklund from which it was adapted. It stars Helena Bergström, Örjan Ramberg, Ewa Fröling and Pernilla August amongst others. The film was directed by Colin Nutley, who is also married to the lead actress Helena Bergström. Plot Annika Bengtzon, an up-and-coming young reporter for Kvällspressens newspaper, is called to the scene of a possible terrorist attack on the new Olympic Arena, Victoria Stadium in Stockholm, where the northern part of the arena has been blown to pieces. The blast kills Christina Furhage, the Swedish Olympic ambassador, and Bengtzon soon finds out that the bombing may have been a personal attack against Furhage and not a terrorist attack. Colin Nutley
Colin James Nutley (born 28 February 1944) is an English director successful in the Swedish film industry. Career Nutley went to Portsmouth Art College and began his career in British television as a graphic designer. He then turned to drama and documentary film-making for ITV, BBC and Channel 4. He directed the first two episodes of children's television series ''Press Gang'', but was unhappy with the final edit so asked for his name to be removed from the credit He was, however, the driving force behind Southern Television's ITV-networked children's series The Flockton Flyer, taking personal responsibility for much of the casting, and acting as producer of the first series (filmed 1976, broadcast 1977) and producer/director of the second series (filmed 1977, broadcast 1978). The Swedish Film Institute ( sv, Svenska Filminstitutet) was founded in 1963 to support and develop the Swedish film industry. Tilde Maria Henny Märta Fröling (born 15 May 1980) is a Swedish actress and television presenter. She is the daughter of actors Ewa Fröling and Örjan Ramberg. Maria Lundqvist
Annika Maria Lundqvist (born 14 October 1963) is a Swedish actress and comedian. Born in Gothenburg, Lundqvist studied acting at the Gothenburg Theatre Academy and has since been acting at various Swedish theatres, including the Royal Dramatic Theatre in Stockholm. Her breakthrough as a comedian came when she portrayed a comic character named ''Sally'' in a TV-show with the same name in 1998. She has also starred in musicals in Sweden. Tomas Pontén
Tomas Pontén (born Carl Axel Thomas Pontén; 29 January 1946 – 15 September 2015) was a Swedish actor and director. Biography Pontén was born in Skövde, Sweden and was the son of colonel Birger Pontén and Ellen, née Nordlöf. He was younger brother to the doctor Jan Pontén and fashion designer Gunilla Pontén. He was also the nephew of engineer Ruben Pontén and cousin of actor Gunvor Pontén. He passed his student examination in 1967 and studied at Statens scenskola in Stockholm from 1969 to 1972. Pontén worked at the Royal Dramatic Theatre ("Dramaten") from 1972. Personal life Pontén never married but was partners from 1983 to 2000 with Suzanne Reuter. They had three sons. Pontén died on 15 September 2015 after a long illness. Brasse Brännström
Brasse Brännström (real name Lars Erik Brännström; 27 February 1945 – 29 August 2014) was a Swedish actor and comedian. Brännström attended Adolf Fredrik's Music School in Stockholm. In 1970, he gained fame alongside Magnus Härenstam and Lasse Hallström, when they made their first television program ''Oj är det redan fredag''. During the 1980s, Brännström managed Maximteatern in Stockholm with Magnus Härenstam, Lill Lindfors, and Aller Johansson, in a company called Limabrall.
