De Wereld Draait Door
''De Wereld Draait Door'' (; English: "The world keeps on turning") also known by the acronym DWDD was an early-evening talk show on Dutch television, broadcast every weekday at 7:00 p.m. on NPO 1. It is the Netherlands' longest-running, regularly scheduled TV entertainment show and is also the program with the second-highest viewing figures on Dutch television, beaten only by the main evening news at 8.00 p.m. The show, created by Dieuwke Wynia and produced by BNNVARA, was discontinued after the last episode on 27 March 2020. Content The chat, conducted at a large table, was hosted by Matthijs van Nieuwkerk and a rotating guest co-host. Guests were politicians, celebrities, artists, or simply people involved in projects or organizations that were topics of interest. Marc-Marie Huijbregts
Marc-Marie Huijbregts (born 21 December 1964) is a Dutch comedian, actor and television presenter. He is known for his cabaret shows and as co-host of the television show ''De Wereld Draait Door''. He is also known as jury member in the Flemish quiz show ''De Slimste Mens ter Wereld''. Career Huijbregts appeared in various roles in the television series ''In de Vlaamsche pot'' (1990), ''We zijn weer thuis'' (1991 – 1994), ''Baantjer'' (1997) and ''Goede tijden, slechte tijden'' (1997). In 2000, he appeared as team captain in the satirical television show ''Dit was het nieuws''. Huijbregts won the 2005 edition of the popular television show ''Wie is de Mol?'' by correctly identifying Yvon Jaspers as the mole. Alexander Paul Klöpping (; born 21 January 1987) is a Dutch internet entrepreneur specializing in consumer electronics, blogging, and is also a print and online journalist and speaker. Klöpping studies new media at the University of Amsterdam and is a self-described nerd. He is consulted by Dutch-language media for his expertise. He himself states that his expertise is "relative". The Institute for Advanced Study (IAS), located in Princeton, New Jersey, in the United States, is an independent center for theoretical research and intellectual inquiry. Lucky TV
LuckyTV, created by Sander van de Pavert (The Hague, 1976), is a Dutch series of short videos, mostly used as closure of daily TV-show ''De Wereld Draait Door'' on NPO 1. In these videos, recent news items (usually from the same day) are shown with the actual voices of the people in the video replaced with Van de Pavert's voice, often making the characters say ridiculous things. On a regular basis, items are edited into the video that weren't originally there, such as a monster at the wedding of British prince William and Kate Middleton. In October 2016 LuckyTV received widespread attention after it released a parody video that made it appear that Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton were singing a duet of the song (I've Had) The Time of My Life during the second USA presidential debate.
