DeZir
The Renault DeZir is an electric concept car, with zero emissions, that was first officially presented at the 2010 Paris Motor Show. The car is a 2-seat coupe with butterfly doors and the interior is finished in red leather. The concept's butterfly doors open like a conventional butterfly door on the driver's side and a suicide butterfly door on the passenger's side. The car costs $2 million. Performance The DeZir is powered by a mid-mounted electric motor producing of power and of torque, making it attain 0-60 mph (0-100 km/h) in time of 5 seconds and a maximum speed of 112 mph (184 km/h). The Alpine A110-50 (codenamed ZAR for "Alpine revival", with Z being the letter used for Renault concepts) is a concept racing car created by Renault to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the 1962 Alpine A110. It debuted at Monaco's GP circuit, where Renault Chief Operating Officer Carlos Tavares raced the A110-50 for four laps of the Monaco track. The Alpine A110-50 has all carbonfibre bodywork, a mid-engine layout, and tubular frame. It is built upon the same platform and shares its mechanicals with the Sport Mégane Trophy race car. Renault Trezor
The Renault Trezor is a two-seater electric concept car with autonomous capabilities built by Renault which was unveiled at the 2016 Paris Motor Show. The car secured the Festival Automobile International's Most Beautiful Concept car of the Year 2016 award. The car was expected to become a commercial product by 2020. Exterior The car's lack of visible seams is largely due to the use of its clamshell style roof which opens up to allow passengers to enter the interior. The single piece canopy opens by hinging forward on struts. The car also uses a carbon-fiber chassis and a wooden frame under the bonnet, which was built with German bicycle manufacturer Keim, to function as a luggage rack. Butterfly Doors
Butterfly doors are a type of car door sometimes seen on high-performance cars. They are slightly different from scissor doors. While scissor doors move straight up via hinge points at the bottom of a car's A-pillar, butterfly doors move up and out via hinges along the A-pillar. This makes for easier entry and exit, at the expense of requiring more clearance than needed for scissor doors.
