DeAnna Marie Price (born June 8, 1993) is an American track and field athlete competing primarily in the hammer throw. Price's personal best in the hammer is , the American record, set at the 2021 US Olympic trials. The throw ranks her as the #2 women's thrower in history. Career Price represented the USA at the 2015 World Championships in Beijing without qualifying for the final. A month before the World Championships, Price had finished fourth at the 2015 Pan American Games. Then, two weeks later, Price picked up her first international medal by taking a silver behind Amber Campbell at the 2015 NACAC Championships. Price placed third in hammer behind Team USA teammates Amber Campbell and Gwen Berry at the 2016 United States Olympic Trials Price represented the United States at 2016 Summer Olympics, finishing eighth. The 2015 IAAF World Championships ( zh, 第十五届世界田径锦标赛), the fifteenth edition of the IAAF World Championships, were held from 22 to 30 August at the National Stadium in Beijing, China. Forty-three nations won medals, 144 of which were awarded. Kenya topped the medal table for the first time, with 7 gold, 6 silver and 3 bronze medals. The United States won 18 medals, six gold, six silver and six bronze, which was the highest tally. Athletics competitions at the 2015 Pan American Games in Toronto were held from July 19 to 26 at the newly built CIBC Pan Am and Parapan Am Athletics Stadium, located on the campus of York University. The racewalking and marathon events were held on the temporary circuits around the Ontario Place West Channel. The sport of athletics is split into distinct sets of events: track and field events, road running events, and racewalking events. Mirroring the Olympic athletics program, both men and women had very similar schedules of events. Men competed in 24 events and women in 23, as their schedule lacks the 50 km race walk. Troy Buchanan High School (formerly Buchanan High School) is a 3-year public high school in Troy, Missouri, United States that is part of the Lincoln County School District. The school is named after local merchant Alexander Buchanan, who donated a $1,500 endowment and the land for Buchanan College (which would sell property to the local school district upon closure) to be built. Gwendolyn Denise Berry (born June 29, 1989) is an American track and field athlete who specializes in the hammer throw. Her mark of on June 8, 2018, ranks her #7 on the all time list. She also holds the world record in the weight throw with a mark of set in March 2017. She is a three-time national champion in the weight throw at the USA Indoor Track and Field Championships. She was the gold medalist in the hammer at the 2014 Pan American Sports Festival. She is also the 2019 Pan American Games Champion.
