"Days Gone Bye" is the television pilot, pilot episode of the Apocalyptic and post-apocalyptic fiction, post-apocalyptic Horror fiction, horror television series ''The Walking Dead (TV series), The Walking Dead''. It originally aired on AMC (TV channel), AMC in the United States on October 31, 2010. The episode's teleplay was written and directed by Frank Darabont, the series creator. Robert Kirkman, the creator of the The Walking Dead (comic book), eponymous series of comic books, considered the idea of creating a television show based on the comic series, but did not move forward. Andrew James Clutterbuck (born 14 September 1973), known professionally as Andrew Lincoln, is an English actor.
