Dawat University ( ps, د دعوت پوهنتون) is a private university registered with the government of Afghanistan. Established in 2009, Dawat University is a non-profit private higher-education institution located in the urban setting of the metropolis of Kabul (population range of 1,000,000-5,000,000 inhabitants). Abdul Rab Rasul Sayyaf, the founder, recently obtained a license from the Ministry of Higher Education. In the beginning, Dawat University will be registering students to the faculties of Engineering, Law and Islamic Studies. In 2013 it has about 7000 students studying in six faculties, Shariah, Law, Engineering, Economics, Journalism and Pharmacy; the first batch of 450 students are graduated in this year. Abdul Rab Rasul Sayyaf
Abdulrab Rasul Sayyaf ( ; ps, عبدالرسول سیاف; born 1946) is an exiled Afghan politician and former mujahideen commander. He took part in the war against the Marxist–Leninist People's Democratic Party of Afghanistan (PDPA) government in the 1980s, leading the Afghan mujahideen faction '' Ittehad-al-Islami'' (Islamic Union). Khost
Khōst ( ps, خوست) is the capital of Khost Province in Afghanistan. It is the largest city in the southeastern part of the country, and also the largest in the region of Loya Paktia. The legal system of Afghanistan consists of Islamic, statutory and customary rules. It has developed over centuries and is currently changing in the context of the rebuilding of the Afghan state. The supreme law of the land is the Sharia. In addition, there is complex legislation that stems from different historical periods.
