Davide DiRuscio
Davide DiRuscio (born May 5, 1992) was a professional lacrosse player for the Buffalo Bandits and the Philadelphia Wings of the National Lacrosse League. Undrafted, DiRuscio signed with the Bandits for the 2015 NLL season. Outside of the NLL, DiRuscio has played for the St. Catharines Saints, Coquitlam Adanacs, Peterborough Lakers, and the Niagara Lock Monsters. Major Series Lacrosse (MSL) is a Senior A box lacrosse league based in Ontario, Canada sanctioned by the Ontario Lacrosse Association. Most of the star players in the league play or have played in the National Lacrosse League. Each year, the playoff teams battle for the right to compete against the Western Lacrosse Association champion for the Mann Cup every September. The championship is hosted alternately between Ontario and British Columbia every year. The Peterborough Lakers are Senior "A" box lacrosse team from Peterborough, Ontario. They play in the Major Series Lacrosse league where under the current format, they compete in 16 regular season games from May through July and playoffs beginning in August and ending with the Mann Cup in September. Colorado Mammoth
The Colorado Mammoth are a box lacrosse team playing in the National Lacrosse League. The Mammoth have played at Ball Arena in Denver, Colorado, since the 2003 season. They are owned by Stan Kroenke, who is also the owner of the Colorado Avalanche, Denver Nuggets and the Colorado Rapids of MLS. The Mammoth franchise previously played as the Baltimore Thunder from 1987 to 1999, the Pittsburgh CrosseFire in 2000, and the Washington Power from 2001 to 2002. Anthony Cosmo (lacrosse)
Anthony Cosmo (born October 6, 1977) is a former professional lacrosse goaltender in the National Lacrosse League. Cosmo is a three-time NLL All-Star, and was named NLL Goaltender of the Year in 2007. Cosmo also plays for the Brampton Excelsiors (MSL) Major Series Lacrosse Senior A Men's league. Cosmo began his lacrosse career with the Junior A Mississauga Tomahawks of the Ontario Lacrosse Association. He then went on to play for the Burnaby Lakers of the BC Junior A Lacrosse League. In 1998, playing with fellow stars Cam Sedgwick and Kaleb Toth, Cosmo and the Lakers won the Minto Cup. Cosmo then went on to play for the Victoria Shamrocks of the Western Lacrosse Association. Niagara Lock Monsters
Niagara Lock Monsters are a Canadian professional indoor lacrosse team that play in the Canadian Lacrosse League. The Lock Monsters play out of the Meridian Centre in St. Catharines, Ontario. History The Peel Avengers were founded in the summer of 2011 in Brampton, Ontario. The Avengers played their first game ever on January 7, 2012 in Hagersville, Ontario. The Avengers defeated Durham TurfDogs 16-9 to pick up their first win in franchise history. The Avengers would finish the 2012 campaign with a 5-9 record landing them in last place with only 10 pts. Coquitlam Adanacs
The Coquitlam Adanacs are a Canadian box lacrosse team based in Coquitlam, British Columbia. The Adanacs play in B.C.'s seven team Western Lacrosse Association (WLA), whose champion competes against Ontario's Major Series Lacrosse champion for the Mann Cup every September. The Adanacs originally started as a basketball team during the 1920s in New Westminster. The team expanded to lacrosse and played as the Adanacs until 1951. In 1965, a new Coquitlam Adanacs lacrosse team was formed by old Adanac players, and won the Mann Cup in 2001. The Adanacs play their home games at the Poirier Sport & Leisure Complex. The National Lacrosse League (NLL) is a men's professional box lacrosse league in North America. The league is headquartered in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
