Davide Casaleggio
Davide Casaleggio (born 14 January 1976) is an Italian entrepreneur and political activist, born in Milan. Biography Davide Federico Dante Casaleggio was born in Milan in 1976 and grew up in Ivrea. After the death of his father Gianroberto, he became chairman of Casaleggio Associati srl, an internet and consulting company that advises on innovation strategies, and editor of Beppe Grillo's blog. Since 2016 Casaleggio has become a prominent figure in the Five Star Movement, a party which was founded by his father along with Beppe Grillo. In the Italian context, Casaleggio has promoted the Web as a medium for political communication and participation. His role in the Five Star Movement has become increasingly important, albeit unofficial. Like his father, he is considered the grey eminence of the movement. Ivrea
Ivrea (; pms, Ivrèja ; ; lat, Eporedia) is a town and ''comune'' of the Metropolitan City of Turin in the Piedmont region of northwestern Italy. Situated on the road leading to the Aosta Valley (part of the medieval Via Francigena), it straddles the Dora Baltea and is regarded as the centre of the Canavese area. Éminence Grise
An ''éminence grise'' () or grey eminence is a powerful decision-maker or adviser who operates "behind the scenes", or in a non-public or unofficial capacity. This phrase originally referred to François Leclerc du Tremblay, the right-hand man of Cardinal Richelieu. Leclerc was a Capuchin friar who was renowned for his beige robe attire, as beige was termed "grey" in that era. The style ''His Eminence'' is used to address or refer to a cardinal in the Roman Catholic Church. Although Leclerc never achieved the rank of cardinal, those around him addressed him as such in deference to the considerable influence this "grey" friar held over "His Eminence the Cardinal". Giuseppe Piero "Beppe" Grillo (; born 21 July 1948) is an Italian comedian, actor, blogger, and politician. He has been involved in politics since 2009 as the co-founder (together with Gianroberto Casaleggio) of the Italian Five Star Movement political party. The Five Star Movement ( it, Movimento 5 Stelle , M5S) is a political party in Italy. Its leader and president is Giuseppe Conte, Prime Minister of Italy from 2018 until 2021. The M5S was founded on 4 October 2009 by Beppe Grillo, a comedian and blogger, and Gianroberto Casaleggio, a web strategist.
