David Teegarden
David Teegarden is an American musician who was a member of the American psych-rock group Teegarden & Van Winkle. He is a resident of Tulsa, Oklahoma. Teegarden has worked with many musicians including J. J. Cale, Eric Clapton, Joe Walsh, and Bob Seger. In 1981, Teegarden won a Grammy for Best Rock Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal for '' Against the Wind'' with Bob Seger & the Silver Bullet Band. Teegarden appeared on the '' Smokin' O.P.'s'' album with Bob Seger as a member of Teegarden & Van Winkle, with guitarist Michael Bruce (not the Michael Bruce who played with Alice Cooper) and also appeared on the albums ''Nine Tonight'', '' Stranger in Town'', ''Against the Wind'', and ''The Fire Inside'' with Seger, as a member of the Silver Bullet Band. Teegarden & Van Winkle
Teegarden & Van Winkle were an American musical duo, composed of Skip (Knape) Van Winkle (electronic organ, organ pedal bass, vocals) and David Teegarden (drums, vocals). Formed in Tulsa, the duo took its brand of folksy rock to Detroit. Their single "God, Love and Rock & Roll", which borrowed heavily from "Amen", peaked at #22 on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100 and #7 in Canada in 1970. Their single "Everything Is Gonna Be Alright" (aka "Shoes"), released the same year, was covered by, among others, The Temptations on their "Live At London's Talk of the Town" album. The duo occasionally worked with Bob Seger, appearing live at his concert and producing an album with Seger and guitarist Mike Bruce. Stranger In Town (album)
''Stranger in Town'' is the tenth studio album by American rock singer Bob Seger and his second with the Silver Bullet Band, released by Capitol Records in May 1978 (see 1978 in music). As with its predecessor, the Silver Bullet Band backed Seger on about half of the songs and the Muscle Shoals Rhythm Section backed Seger on the other half. The album became an instant success in the United States, being certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America less than a month after the album's release, and, like its predecessor ''Night Moves'', it would later go 6× Platinum. Jack Teagarden
Weldon Leo "Jack" Teagarden (August 20, 1905 – January 15, 1964) was an American jazz trombonist and singer. According to critic Scott Yannow of Allmusic, Teagarden was the preeminent American jazz trombone player before the bebop era of the 1940s and "one of the best jazz singers too". Teagarden's early career was as a sideman with the likes of Paul Whiteman and lifelong friend Louis Armstrong. Early life Teagarden was born in Vernon, Texas, United States. ''The Fire Inside'' is the fourteenth studio album by American singer-songwriter Bob Seger. The album was released in mid 1991 on the record label, Capitol. It was Seger's first album of entirely new music since '' Like a Rock'' in 1986. Though credited to "The Silver Bullet Band", much of the album used guest and session musicians, with limited contributions from Silver Bullet Band members. ''Nine Tonight'' is a live album by American rock band Bob Seger & The Silver Bullet Band, released in 1981 (see 1981 in music). The album was recorded at Cobo Hall in Detroit, Michigan, in June 1980 and at the Boston Garden in Boston, Massachusetts in October 1980. With the exception of three tracks — "Nine Tonight", "Tryin' To Live My Life Without You" and "Let It Rock" — the album is composed entirely of songs drawn from Seger's three previous studio albums. Only "Let It Rock" was repeated from the previous live album '' Live Bullet''. "Tryin' to Live My Life Without You" was released as a single and peaked at number five on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100 in the US.
