David Rittich
David Rittich Jr. (born 19 August 1992) is a Czech professional ice hockey goaltender for the Winnipeg Jets of the National Hockey League (NHL). He has previously played for the Calgary Flames, Toronto Maple Leafs and Nashville Predators. Rittich was an NHL All-Star in 2020 and has represented his native Czech Republic internationally. He is nicknamed "Big Save Dave" by fans. Playing career Rittich made his Czech Extraliga debut with BK Mladá Boleslav during the 2014–15 Czech Extraliga season. After two successful performances in the ELH, Rittich was signed to a one-year, two-way contract on 10 June 2016, with the Calgary Flames of the National Hockey League (NHL). 2022 NHL Entry Draft
The 2022 NHL Entry Draft was the 60th NHL Entry Draft. The draft was held on July 7–8, 2022, at the Bell Centre in Montreal, Quebec. Montreal were originally scheduled to host the 2020 draft but were unable to do so due to the COVID-19 pandemic. For the first time since 1985, the team hosting the draft selected first overall. The first three selections were Juraj Slafkovsky going to the hosting Montreal Canadiens, Simon Nemec being selected by the New Jersey Devils, and Logan Cooley being picked by the Arizona Coyotes. The selections of Slovak players Slafkovsky and Nemec made this the second time that the top two draftees came from a single European country, after Russians Alexander Ovechkin and Evgeni Malkin in 2004. Atlanta Flames
The Atlanta Flames were a professional ice hockey team based in Atlanta from 1972 until 1980. They played home games in the Omni Coliseum and were members of the West and later Patrick divisions of the National Hockey League (NHL). Along with the New York Islanders, the Flames were created in 1971 as part of the NHL's conflict with the rival World Hockey Association (WHA). The team enjoyed modest success on the ice, qualifying for the playoffs in six of its eight seasons, but failed to win a playoff series and won only two post-season games total. The franchise struggled to draw fans and, after averaging only 10,000 per game in the early years of 1979–80, was sold and relocated to Alberta to become the Calgary Flames. Yves Bélanger (ice Hockey)
Yves Bélanger (born September 30, 1952) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey goaltender. Early life Belanger was born in Baie-Comeau. He played junior hockey in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League for the Sherbrooke Castors. Career Bélanger was not drafted into the National Hockey League (NHL), but signed with the Cleveland Crusaders of the World Hockey Association. He made his NHL debut during the 1974–75 season with the St. Louis Blues. Travis Hamonic ( ; born August 16, 1990) is a Canadian professional ice hockey defenceman for the Ottawa Senators of the National Hockey League (NHL).
