David Graham Phillips (October 31, 1867 – January 24, 1911) was an Americans, American novelist and journalist of the muckraker tradition. Early life Phillips was born in Madison, Indiana. After graduating from high school, Phillips entered DePauw University, Asbury College (now DePauw University) and later received a degree from Princeton University in 1887. Career After completing his education, Phillips worked as a newspaper reporter in Cincinnati, Ohio, before moving on to New York City where he was employed as a reporter for ''The Sun (New York), The Sun'' from 1890 to 1893, then columnist and editor with the ''New York World'' until 1902. In his spare time, he wrote a novel, The Great God Success', that was published in 1901. The royalty income enabled him to work as a freelance journalist while continuing to write fiction. David Atlee Phillips (October 31, 1922 – July 7, 1988) was a Central Intelligence Agency officer of 25 years and a recipient of the Career Intelligence Medal. Phillips rose to become the CIA's chief of operations for the Western hemisphere. In 1975 he founded the Association of Former Intelligence Officers (AFIO), an alumni association comprising intelligence officers from all services. Phillips was repeatedly accused of involvement in the JFK assassination, named by both investigators and Agency family members. David Owen Phillips (born 29 July 1963) is a Welsh football coach, commentator and former player. As a player he was a midfielder and played in the Premier League for both Norwich City and Nottingham Forest. He also had lengthy spells in the top flight for both Manchester City and Coventry City as well as playing in the Football League for Huddersfield Town and Lincoln City. Phillips, who works as the Associate Vice President of Energy and Sustainability at University of California Office of the President, calculated while grocery shopping that the value of a mail-in promotion for frequent flyer miles exceeded the cost of the pudding on which it was offered. In May 1999, Phillips received 1,253,000 frequent flyer miles. David Phillips (1951 – February 4, 2017) was an American cinematographer. Phillips made his major feature film debut as the cinematographer for 1995's '' The Basketball Diaries'', which was directed by Scott Kalvert and starred Leonardo DiCaprio and Mark Wahlberg. His additional feature film credits included ''Lift'' (2002), starring Kerry Washington; ''Martin & Orloff'' (2002), starring Matt Walsh and Ian Roberts; and ''Beer League'' (2006), which starred and was written by Artie Lange.
