David Ombugadu
David Emmanuel Ombugadu is a Nigerian politician who was a Member of House of Representatives Nigeria representing Akwanga, Wamba and Nassarawa Eggon federal constituency from 2011 to 2019. He contested as the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (Nigeria)(PDP) for Nasarawa state in the 2019 and 2023 general elections. Early life and education Emmanuel Ombugadu was born January 10, 1978. He attended LEA Primary School Kakuri in Kaduna State. In 1995, he attended Government College Keffi where he obtained his SSCE certificate. He then proceeded to the University of Jos to get a bachelor's degree (Bsc.) in Economics in 2001. The University of Jos, abbreviated as Unijos, is a Federal University in Jos, Plateau State, central Nigeria. History What became the University of Jos was established in November 1971 from the satellite campus of the University of Ibadan. The first students were admitted in January 1972 as pre-degree students and the first Bachelor of Arts degree program began in October 1973. In October 1975, the then military government under General Murtala Mohammed established the Unijos as a separate institution. National Youth Service Corps
The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) is a program set up by the Nigerian government during the military regime to involve Nigerian graduates in nation-building and the development of the country. There is no military conscription in Nigeria, but since 1973 graduates of universities and later polytechnics have been required to take part in the National Youth Service Corps program for one year. This is known as national service year. Ahmadu Ali served as the first Director-General of the NYSC until 1975. The incumbent Director-General is Mohammed Kaku Fadah.
