David J. Russell (golfer)
David John Russell (born 2 May 1954) is an English professional golfer. Career Russell was born in Birmingham, grew up in Bromsgrove and was educated at North Bromsgrove High School. He turned professional in 1973 and spent many years on the European Tour, making the top one hundred on the Order or Merit twelve times between 1979 and 1992, with a best ranking of 24th in 1985. His two European Tour wins came at the 1985 Car Care Plan International and the 1992 Lyon Open V33. In which he won playing the entire 72 holes without dropping a single shot He retired from the European Tour to become the Club Professional at Kedleston Park Golf Club in 1996-2002. In 2001, he designed and set up Archerfield Links in East Lothian where he still resides. Russell joined the European Senior Tour on turning fifty and finished as runner-up in each of his first two senior tournaments. Brett Ogle
Brett James Ogle (born 14 July 1964) is an Australian professional golfer. Early life Ogle was born in Paddington, New South Wales, adopted at 6 weeks of age and was brought up in the town of Goulburn. He was a successful hockey player in his early years representing Southern Zone. He was also a State Champion sprinter at 200m and table tennis player, winning the NSW Schoolboys doubles title in 1978. He took up the game of golf not long after and reduced his golfing handicap from 32 to 1 in just two years. He was the Senior and Junior Club Champion at his home club in Goulburn, Tully Park. Tim Thelen
Tim Thelen (born June 14, 1961) is an American professional golfer. Thelen was born in Albany, Minnesota. He played college golf at Foothills Junior College and Houston Baptist University where he was a teammate of Colin Montgomerie. He worked as a club professional winning the PGA Club Professional Championship in 2000 and 2003 and the 2009 PGA Assistant Professional Championship. He played in nine PGA Championships but failed to make the cut in any of them. He won the 2001 PGA Professional Player of the Year award. After turning 50, Thelen won the European Senior Tour qualifying school in 2010. Christopher Gary Williams (born 20 March 1959) is an English-born golfer who currently lives in South Africa. Williams has won seven times on the Sunshine Tour. Early life Williams was born in Liverpool, England. He moved to Johannesburg, South Africa in his late teens. Professional career In 1978, Williams turned professional, shortly after moving to South Africa. He joined the Southern Africa Tour in 1985, and won his first title, the Lexington PGA Championship, during his debut season. He has won six more events on the Sunshine Tour since then. Barry Lane
Barry Douglas Lane (21 June 1960 – 31 December 2022) was an English professional golfer. He won five official European Tour events between 1988 and 2004. He played in the 1993 Ryder Cup and won the inaugural Andersen Consulting World Championship of Golf in late 1995. After reaching 50 he had considerable success on the European Senior Tour, winning eight times between 2010 and 2019. Early life Lane was born in Hayes, Middlesex but grew up in Bracknell. Ángel Franco (born 31 May 1958) is a Paraguayan professional golfer. His brother is golfer Carlos Franco. Franco was born in Asunción and turned pro in 1974. Peter Baker (golfer)
Peter Alan Baker (born 7 October 1967) is an English professional golfer. He had three wins on the European Tour, one in 1988 and two in 1993. He represented Europe in the 1993 Ryder Cup. Amateur career Baker learned golf at his father's nine-hole Himley Hall course and was taught by Sandy Lyle's father Alex.
