David Hartsuch was the Iowa State Senator from the 41st District. He served in the Iowa Senate from 2007 to 2011. Hartsuch is an emergency department physician. Maggie Tinsman (born July 14, 1936) is an American politician who served as a Republican member of the Iowa State Senate from 1989 to 2007. The Iowa Senate is the upper house of the Iowa General Assembly, United States. There are 50 seats in the Iowa Senate, representing 50 single-member districts across the state of Iowa with populations of approximately 60,927 per constituency, . Each Senate district is composed of two House districts. The Senate meets at the Iowa State Capitol in Des Moines. Bruce Lowell Braley (born October 30, 1957) is an American politician and attorney who served as the U.S. representative for from 2007 to 2015. A member of the Democratic Party, he was defeated in his attempt to win an open seat in the 2014 United States Senate election in Iowa.
