David Haley
David B. Haley (born October 29, 1958) is a Democratic member of the Kansas Senate, representing the 4th district since 2001. From 1995 to 2001, he was a Kansas Representative. He ran unsuccessfully for Kansas Secretary of State in 2002 and 2006. He is the son of politician George W. Haley and nephew of Pulitzer Prize winner Alex Haley. Kansas's 4th Senate district is one of 40 districts in the Kansas Senate. It has been represented by Democratic Party (United States), Democrat David Haley since 2001. It is the most Democratic-leaning Senate district in the state. Geography District 4 is based in Kansas City, Kansas, Kansas City, covering the northern neighborhoods of the city in Wyandotte County, Kansas, Wyandotte County. The district is located entirely within Kansas's 3rd congressional district, and overlaps with the 32nd, 33rd, 34th, 35th, 36th, and 37th districts of the Kansas House of Representatives.
