David Cliche
David Cliche (July 10, 1952 – July 19, 2020) was a Quebec politician. He represented Vimont in the National Assembly of Quebec from 1994 to 2002, as a member of the Parti Québécois. He was the son of lawyer and former head of the New Democratic Party of Quebec, Robert Cliche and writer Madeleine Ferron. Cliche earned a bachelor's degree in Geology and a master's degree in Development from the University of Montreal (1977) and then began a career in environmental management. Cliche ran for the Parti Québécois in the constituency of Vimont in 1989 but was defeated by Benoît Fradet of the Liberal Party, in 1994 he ran again and this time defeated Fradet and was part of the Parti Québécois government of Lucien Bouchard; he was re-elected in 1998. Saint-Joseph-de-Beauce
Saint-Joseph-de-Beauce is a city in the Municipalité régionale de comté Beauce-Centre in Quebec, Canada. It is part of the Chaudière-Appalaches region and the population was 5,014 as of the Canada 2021 Census. The new city constitution dates from 1999, when the city of Saint-Joseph-de-Beauce and the parish municipality of Saint-Joseph-de-Beauce amalgamated. However, the territory was settled as a ''seigneurie'' in 1736 under Pierre de Rigaud de Vaudreuil, which makes it the oldest settlement in Beauce. In 1747, Vaudreuil would exchange it to Joseph de Fleury de La Gorgendière, who would initiate the development of the settlement. Saint-Joseph-de-Beauce is the seat of the judicial district of Beauce. Saint-Joseph-de-Beauce holds an annual Truck drag race event, the ''Accélération de camions à St-Joseph-de-Beauce'' (Big Rig Drag Racing) which established in 2004. Jean Rochon
Jean Rochon (July 29, 1938 – October 16, 2021) was a Canadian politician and member of the National Assembly of Quebec. He was a cabinet minister for several ministries from 1994 to 2003 when the Parti Québécois formed the government under the leadership of Jacques Parizeau, Lucien Bouchard and Bernard Landry. Early life Rochon was born in Montreal on July 29, 1938. His father, Albert, was employed as a longshoreman; his mother was Germaine (Laliberté). Rochon completed his secondary education at the in his hometown. He graduated from the Université de Montréal with a Bachelor of Arts in 1958, before earning a law degree from the same institution three years later. He then obtained a medical degree from the Université Laval in 1966, before being awarded a masters and doctorate in public health from Harvard University. Paul Bégin
Paul Bégin (born May 15, 1943, in Dolbeau-Mistassini, Quebec) is a former Quebec politician and Cabinet Minister. Member of the Parti Québecois, he served as the province's Justice Minister from 1994 to 1997 and from 2001 to 2002. Begin is a graduate from the Université Laval obtaining a law degree. He was admitted to the Barreau du Québec in 1969 and practiced law for 25 years mostly at the law firm Pinsonneault Pothier Begin Delisle. Jacques Brassard
Jacques Brassard (born June 12, 1940 in Alma, Quebec) is a former Quebec politician and Cabinet Minister. He was the National Assembly of Quebec for Lac-Saint-Jean from 1976 to 2002 and occupied several portfolios as a Minister under the Parti Québecois governments of René Lévesque, Pierre-Marc Johnson, Jacques Parizeau, Lucien Bouchard and Bernard Landry. Brassard conducted his university studies at Université de Montréal and Université de Sherbrooke and obtained a degree in pedagogy. After teaching at a local school board, he was a history teacher for nine years at Collège d'Alma before his entry to provincial politics in 1976. Maxime Arseneau
Maxime Arseneau (born November 24, 1949) is a Canadian radio host and teacher and former Quebec politician. He was the Member of National Assembly of Quebec for the riding of Îles-de-la-Madeleine. He represents the Parti Québécois and was a former minister in the cabinets of Former Premiers Lucien Bouchard and Bernard Landry. Arseneau served as MNA from 1998 to 2008.
