Dave Marcelo
David Paul M. Marcelo (born February 22, 1989) is a Filipino professional basketball player for the TNT Tropang Giga of the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA). Marcelo was drafted by B-Meg in the 2012 PBA draft as the 12th overall pick. College career Marcelo studied and played for the San Beda Red Lions from 2007 from 2011 together graduated with Garvo Lanete and Mar Villahermosa. The Red Lions won 4 out of 5 championships with them. He was well known for his inside scoring and rebounding. On his last year with the Red Lions, they faced the JRU Heavy Bombers in the semifinals after beating San Sebastian Stags in the top-seed playoff. They won over the Heavy Bombers, 83–74, to advance to the Finals then the Stags won over the Letran Knights in the second game of their semifinals, 63–56. The Barangay Ginebra San Miguel is a professional basketball team in the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA). The most popular team in the league, it is owned by Ginebra San Miguel, Inc. NCAA Basketball Championship (Philippines)
The National Collegiate Athletic Association basketball tournament is held every first semester of the academic year (from July up to November). Each year, ten schools vie to win the two championships: the Juniors and Seniors. If a school wins both championships in one season, it said that they have won the "double championship." The tournament commences with a double-round robin of eliminations, where the four teams with the best records advance to the semifinals, with the two top seeds clinching the twice-to-beat advantage. The Letran Knights are the collegiate varsity teams representing Colegio de San Juan de Letran in the National Collegiate Athletic Association. The San Sebastian Golden Stags (also known as SSC-R Stags) are the National Collegiate Athletic Association (Philippines) basketball team of the San Sebastian College – Recoletos. JRU Heavy Bombers
The JRU Heavy Bombers (also as José Rizal University Heavy Bombers) are the National Collegiate Athletic Association basketball team of the Jose Rizal University. The other senior varsity teams may also be referred to as the Heavy Bombers. The juniors team are the JRU Light Bombers. And also became current team in the PBA Developmental League. Garvo A. Lanete (born February 13, 1989) is a Filipino former professional basketball player. He previously played in the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) for three teams. College career Lanete studied and played with San Beda Red Lions from 2007 to 2012. He led the Red Lions when they won 4 out of 5 championships. He played his last game with the Red Lions in their 57–55 win over the San Sebastian Stags. Amateur career Lanete played for the San Beda-Maynilad Water Dragons in the opener of the PBA D-League. The San Beda Red Lions is the collegiate varsity basketball team of the San Beda University that plays in the NCAA. The juniors basketball team is called the Red Cubs of San Beda University–Rizal, while the women's varsity basketball team is called the Red Lionesses. The 2012 Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) rookie draft was an event held at Robinson's Midtown Mall in Ermita, Manila on August 19, 2012 which allowed PBA teams to draft players from the amateur ranks. The basketball tournament at the 2011 Southeast Asian Games took place from 14 to 20 November 2011. This edition of the tournament featured both men's and women's tournament. All matches took place at Kelapa Gading Sports Mall in Jakarta. Men's tournament ''All times are Western Indonesian Time (WIB) – UTC+7.'' The basketball tournaments of NCAA Season 87 are the Philippines' National Collegiate Athletic Association tournaments for basketball in its 2011–12 season. University of Perpetual Help System DALTA hosted the season, starting with an opening ceremony held on July 2, 2011 followed by a triple-header game. NCAA Season 87 is the 2011–12 season of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) of the Philippines.
