Dave Hildenbrand
Dave Hildenbrand (born November 15, 1973) is a former politician from the U.S. state of Michigan. He was a Republican member of the Michigan Senate, representing the 29th district and serving as Assistant Majority Leader. Prior to that, he was a member of the Michigan House of Representatives. Biography Early life and education Hildenbrand was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and graduated from Lowell High School. He earned a bachelor of science degree in public resource management from Michigan State University. Career In 2004, he was elected to the Michigan House of Representatives, representing district 86, and was re-elected twice. Michigan's 29th Senate District
Michigan's 29th Senate district is one of 38 districts in the Michigan Senate. The 29th district was created by the 1850 Michigan Constitution, as the 1835 constitution only permitted a maximum of eight senate districts. It has been represented by Democrat Winnie Brinks since 2019, succeeding Republican Dave Hildenbrand. Geography District 29 encompasses part of Kent County. 2011 Apportionment Plan District 29, as dictated by the 2011 Apportionment Plan, was based in Grand Rapids, which also covered the surrounding Kent County communities of East Grand Rapids, Lowell, Forest Hills, Cascade Township, Grand Rapids Township, Ada Township, and Caledonia Township. The Michigan House of Representatives is the lower house of the Michigan Legislature. There are 110 members, each of whom is elected from constituencies having approximately 77,000 to 91,000 residents, based on population figures from the 2010 U.S. Census. Michigan State University (Michigan State, MSU) is a public university, public Land-grant university, land-grant research university in East Lansing, Michigan. Lowell High School (Michigan)
Lowell High School is a public school located in Vergennes Township, Michigan, United States, with a Lowell postal address. By 1992 the school district chose the Steve Wittenbach plot as the current high school location, which in turn helped gift a gas franchise to Grattan Township. Athletics Lowell High School is a member of the Michigan High School Athletic Association. It is A Division II school, and all of its teams currently play within the Ottawa-Kent (O.K.) White League. Lowell's nickname is the Red Arrows, named for the 32nd Red Arrow Infantry in World War II. Michigan Senate
The Michigan Senate is the upper house of the Michigan Legislature. Along with the Michigan House of Representatives, it composes the state legislature, which has powers, roles and duties defined by Article IV of the Michigan Constitution, adopted in 1963. The primary purpose of the Legislature is to enact new laws and amend or repeal existing laws. The Michigan Senate is composed of 38 members, each elected from a single-member district with a population of between approximately 212,400 to 263,500 residents. Bill Hardiman
William Clyde Hardiman III is an American Republican politician from Michigan. He was the mayor of Kentwood, Michigan from 1992 to 2002. He then ran for Michigan state senate in 2002 in the 29th district, defeating Steve Pestka, and served from 2003 to 2011, when he retired due to term limits. He ran unsuccessfully for Congress in Michigan's 3rd congressional district. In June 2011 he joined the Michigan Department of Human Services, where he focuses on services for veterans.
