''Daugava'' is the eighth studio album by Lars Winnerbäck. It was recorded in Ireland, and released on September 26, 2007. The name comes from the river that runs through Riga. The album has sold in excess of 80,000 copies in Sweden, and has been certified 2× platinum. Lars Winnerbäck
Lars Mattias Winnerbäck (born 19 October 1975 in Stockholm) is a Swedish singer and songwriter. He was born in Stockholm but spent his childhood in Vidingsjö, Linköping, where he attended Katedralskolan. He moved back to Stockholm in 1996, the same year he released his first album, '' Dans med svåra steg''. He is now one of Sweden's most popular artists. The influence of songwriters like Carl Michael Bellman, Evert Taube, Bob Dylan, Ulf Lundell and Cornelis Vreeswijk shines through in Winnerbäck's exclusively Swedish lyrics, which deal with shallowness, prejudice in society, as well as romance, relationships and anxiety. Several songs depict the difference between living in small town Linköping and the capital Stockholm. His vinyl records were re-released in October 2011, many of them charting again on the Sverigetopplistan, the official Swedish Albums Chart. On 16 September 2007, the song entered Svensktoppen, topping the chart on 18 November 2007 The song received a Grammis award for "Song of the year 2007" and also won a Rockbjörnen award for "Swedish song of the year 2007". The song also became the second-most successful Trackslistan song of 2007 and the 42nd-most successful Trackslistan song of 2008. Linda Karlsson (born 21 July 1982), better known by her stage name Miss Li, is a Swedish singer and songwriter. Since beginning her career in the early-2000s, she has released a total of eight studio albums, and several of her songs have been featured in Swedish commercials as well as numerous American television series.
