S.M. Zaheer (एस एम ज़हीर) is an Indian character actor. He acted in the early Hindi TV dramas ''Hum Log (television series), Hum Log'' and ''Buniyaad'' on Doordarshan. Early life and career He belongs to Asandra village in Barabanki district, Barabanki district of Uttar Pradesh. Arun Bali (23 December 1942 – 7 October 2022) was an Indian actor who has worked in numerous films and television series. He played the part of King Porus in the 1991 period drama ''Chanakya (TV series), Chanakya'', Kunwar Singh in the Doordarshan soap opera ''Swabhimaan'' and the Chief Minister of undivided Bengal, Huseyn Shaheed Suhrawardy, in the controversial and critically acclaimed 2000 film ''Hey Ram''. In the 2000s, he became known for his "grandfatherly" roles like that of Harshvardhan Wadhwa in ''Kumkum (TV series), Kumkum'' and has even garnered popular awards for the same. In 2001, the prominent writer, actor and director Lekh Tandon counted Bali amongst his favorite actors. Javed Akhtar
Javed Akhtar (born 17 January 1945) is an Indian poet, lyricist, screenwriter and political activist. Known for his work in Hindi cinema, he has won five National Film Awards, and received the Padma Shri in 1999 and the Padma Bhushan in 2007, two of India's highest civilian honours. Akhtar came to recognition in the duo Salim–Javed, and earned his breakthrough as a screenwriter with 1973's ''Zanjeer''. Doordarshan (abbreviated as DD; Hindi: , ) is an Indian public service broadcaster founded by the Government of India, owned by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting and one of Prasar Bharati's two divisions.
