Das Fest
DAS FEST (short form, engl. ''The Festival'') is one of the biggest open-air concerts in Germany, which has taken place in Karlsruhe since 1985 and is organized by ''Karlsruhe Event GmbH''. After the first few years of existence, its date was set for the last weekend before the summer holidays in Baden-Württemberg, which starts at the end of July. The festival has gained national popularity with its concerts, making up the main part of the event. Program and organization DAS FEST has been organized by ''Karlsruhe Event GmbH'' since 2014. Its organizers pursue an aim clearly different to other big German festivals, which oft polarize by concentrating on certain genres. Juli (band)
Juli (German for "July") is a German alternative pop band from Gießen, Hessen, consisting of singer Eva Briegel, guitarists Jonas Pfetzing and Simon Triebel, bassist Andreas "Dedi" Herde and drummer Marcel Römer. The band was formed with this lineup from the band Sunnyglade in 2001. History Sunnyglade to formation of Juli (1996–2003) The band was formed under the name Sunnyglade in 1996 as an all-male band, consisting of Andreas "Dedi" Herde, Martin Möller (drums), Jonas Pfetzing, Marcel Römer and Simon Triebel, who was also the singer. Fischer-Z are a British rock group and main creative project of singer, guitarist and poet John Watts. In 1982 Watts temporarily dissolved Fischer-Z and started a solo career under his own name. John Watts has gone on to release both solo and Fischer-Z projects. The original line-up consisted of Watts (vocals, guitar), Steve Skolnik (keyboards), David Graham ( bass) and Steve Liddle (drums). The band's name is pronounced ("fisher zed"), a pun on "fish's head" with the "h" dropped, as is usual in many British regional accents. Fury in the Slaughterhouse is a German rock band from Hanover, founded in 1987.
