Daryoush Rezaei
Between 2010 and 2012, four Iranian nuclear scientists (Masoud Alimohammadi, Majid Shahriari, Darioush Rezaeinejad and Mostafa Ahmadi Roshan) were assassinated, while another (Fereydoon Abbasi) was wounded in an attempted murder. In November 2020, another scientist (Mohsen Fakhrizadeh) was assassinated. Two of the killings were carried out with magnetic bombs attached to the targets' cars; Darioush Rezaeinejad was shot dead, and Masoud Alimohammadi was killed in a motorcycle-bomb explosion. The Iranian government accused Israel of complicity in the killings. In 2011 and 2012, Iranian authorities arrested a number of Iranians alleged to have carried out the assassination campaign on behalf of Mossad (the Israeli intelligence service). Masoud Alimohammadi
Masoud Alimohammadi ( fa, مسعود علیمحمدی; 24 August 1959 – 12 January 2010) was an Iranian quantum field theorist and elementary-particle physicist and a distinguished professor of elementary particle physics at the University of Tehran's Department of Physics. Alimohammadi was the first PhD graduate student in physics of the Sharif University of Technology. He published some 53 articles and letters in peer-reviewed academic journals and wrote and translated several physics textbooks, including '' Modern Quantum Mechanics'', revised edition, by J. J. Sakurai, which he translated from English into Persian in collaboration with Hamidreza Moshfegh. Damavand ( fa, Damāwand, also romanized as Damāvand and Demāvend; also known as Qasabehe Damāwand) is a city and capital of Damavand County, Tehran Province, Iran. Mostafa Ahmadi Roshan (Persian: مصطفی احمدی روشن) (8 September 1979 – 11 January 2012) was an Iranian nuclear scientist who was assassinated in 2012. He was also deputy of commerce at the Natanz nuclear power plant. Life Ahmadi Roshan (also known as "Shahid Ahmadi-Roshan" after the assassination, denoting his status as a martyr) was born on 8 September 1979 in the village of Sangestan in Hamedan province, and grew up in a poor family. He was among the students of Aziz Khoshvaght (who was known as an Islamic moralist), studied polymer engineering at the Sharif University of Technology, and had published several ISI articles in English and Persian by the time he was 32 years old.
