Darragh Fives
Darragh Fives (born 26 March 1992) is an Irish hurler who plays for Waterford Junior Championship club Tourin–Ballinwillin and at inter-county level with the Waterford senior hurling team. He usually lines out as a left wing-back. Playing career University College Cork During his studies at University College Cork, Fives joined the senior hurling team. On 3 March 2012, he was at centre-back when UCC defeated the Cork Institute of Technology by 2-15 to 2-14 to win the Fitzgibbon Cup. On 2 March 2013, Fives was again at centre-back when UCC reached a second successive Fitzgibbon Cup final. He claimed a second winners' medal following a 2-17 to 2-12 defeat of Mary Immaculate College. Tourin–Ballinwillin GAA
Tourin–Ballinwillin GAA Club is a Gaelic Athletic Association club located in County Waterford, Ireland between Cappoquin and Lismore. It has one Waterford Senior Hurling Championship title which was won in 1950. The club colours are red and white vertical stripes. The club goes by the name of 'Tourin' for hurling and 'Ballinwillin' for Gaelic Football. History In 2009, Tourin joined forces with another local club, Mount Melleray GAA. The new (amalgamated) club takes part in the Junior Premier section in the Waterford Hurling and Football Championships. Munster Senior Hurling Championship
The Munster GAA Hurling Senior Championship, known simply as the Munster Championship, is an annual Inter county, inter-county hurling competition organised by the Munster GAA, Munster Council of the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA). Jake Dillon
Jake Dillon (born 13 January 1993) is an Irish hurler who plays as a right wing-forward for the Waterford senior team. Born in Waterford, Dillon first played competitive hurling whilst at school in De La Salle College. He arrived on the inter-county scene at the age of seventeen when he first linked up with the Waterford minor team, before later lining out with the under-21 side. He made his senior debut in the 2013 National Hurling League. Dillon has since gone on to play a key role in the forwards for Waterford, however, he has yet to claim any silverware. At club level Dillon is a one-time Munster medallist with De La Salle. He has also won two championship medals. 2015 National Hurling League
The 2015 National Hurling League was the 84th staging of the National Hurling League. Waterford won their first title since 2007 after a 1-24 to 0-17 win against Cork in the final on 3 May. TG4 and Setanta provided live coverage of the league with highlights shown on RTÉ2 on Sunday nights. Format 34 teams play in the 2015 NHL. There are six teams in the top five divisions, and four teams in Division 3B. Each team plays each other once, either home or away. 2 points are awarded for a win, and 1 for a draw. 2011 Munster Senior Hurling Championship Final
The 2011 Munster Senior Hurling Championship Final was a hurling match played on 10 July 2011 at Páirc Uí Chaoimh, Cork. It was contested by Tipperary and Waterford. The match pitted the 2010 All-Ireland Hurling Champions against the 2010 Munster Hurling Champions. For the first time ever, both Waterford's Senior and Minor hurling teams were making their third Munster Final appearance in a row. It was the first time the two teams had met in a Munster Senior Hurling Championship Final at Páirc Uí Chaoimh since the 2002 Munster Senior Hurling Championship Final. The National Hurling League is an annual Inter county, inter-county hurling competition featuring teams from Ireland and England. Founded in 1925 by the Gaelic Athletic Association, it operates on a system of promotion and relegation within the league system. The league has 35 teams divided into six divisions, with either five or six teams in each division. Promotion and relegation between these divisions is a central feature of the league. Waterford Crystal Cup
The Waterford Crystal Cup was an annual hurling competition organised by the Munster Council of the Gaelic Athletic Association from 2006 to 2015 for the top inter-county teams and third-level institutes and universities in the province of Munster in Ireland. The series of games were played during January and February. The prize for the winning team is a special piece of glassware donated by Waterford Crystal. The All-Ireland Under-21 Hurling Championship 2013 was the 50th staging of the All-Ireland championship since its establishment in 1964. The draw for the 2013 fixtures took place in October 2012.
