The Kapudan Pasha ( ota, قپودان پاشا, Modern Turkish: ''Kaptan Paşa''), also known in Turkish as Kaptan-ı Derya ("Captain of the Seas"), was the commander-in-chief of the navy of the Ottoman Empire.
