Dante Crippa
Dante Crippa (10 March 1937 – 27 February 2021) was an Italian professional footballer who played as a midfielder. Career Crippa began his youth career with Fanfulla, making his Serie C and his IV Division debut with the senior squad. He was purchased by Brescia in 1956, soon becoming a permanent starter in the squad in Serie B. In 1960, he was purchased by Nereo Rocco's Padova, making his Serie A debut that season. Throughout his time at the club, he was deployed in a supporting role behind the team's main striker Aurelio Milani, who became Padova's top scorer; together, they formed a notable offensive partnership. In 1962 he was purchased by Italian Serie A club Juventus for a single season, managing a second-place finish in Serie A during the 1962–63 season, and reaching the quarter finals of the Coppa Italia. Sandro Salvadore
Sandro Salvadore (; 29 November 1939 – 4 January 2007) was an Italian footballer who played as a defender for Italian clubs A.C. Milan and Juventus throughout his career, winning titles at both clubs. He also represented the Italy national team, participating in the 1960 Summer Olympics, and two FIFA World Cups, and was also a member of the team that won the 1968 UEFA European Football Championship. International career From 1960 to 1970 Salvadore won 36 full caps for Italy at international level. He was part of the teams that played both at the 1962 and 1966 FIFA World Cups (the latter as captain). Style of play Salvadore usually played as a libero, although he was also capable of playing in other defensive positions, including as a centre-back. Aurelio Milani
Aurelio Milani (; 14 May 1934 – 25 November 2014) was an Italian footballer who played as a forward. Milani played for several different Italian clubs in Serie A and Serie B, winning the top scorer award in both divisions. In total, he collected 157 appearances in Serie A, scoring 62 goals, and 100 appearances in Serie B, scoring 54 goals. Milani is mostly remembered for his two seasons spent with Internazionale's Grande Inter side under manager Helenio Herrera. He was part of their European Cup victory in 1964, and with Inter, he also won the 1964–65 Serie A title, and the 1964 Intercontinental Cup. He also represented the Italian national side on one occasion. A powerful player, Milani was a fast, strong, hard-working, and traditional centre-forward. The COVID-19 pandemic in Italy is part of the ongoing pandemic of coronavirus disease 2019 () caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (). In association football, a cross is a medium- to-long-range pass from a wide area of the field towards the centre of the field near the opponent's goal. Società Polisportiva Ars et Labor, commonly known as S.P.A.L. (), is a professional football club based in Ferrara, Emilia-Romagna, Italy. Paolo Mazza
Paolo Mazza (21 July 1901 – 31 December 1981) was an Italian football manager. He was co-manager of the Italy national football team at the 1962 FIFA World Cup, together with Giovanni Ferrari. Mazza career as a footballer was served entirely in the lower divisions, he became first manager and then sporting director of SPAL, the main club in Ferrara. In 1946, he became President of the club and pioneered the idea of training centres at youth level, opening the Centro Giovanile di Addestramento. Nicknamed ''Il Rabdomante'' (the Diviner) by journalist Gianni Brera due to his skill for talent-spotting, he helped SPAL reach Serie A, well above the level expected from such a small club. Coppa delle Alpi (translated as ''Cup of the Alps'') was a friendly football tournament, first organized by the Italian national league as it started in 1960 and then they were aided by the Swiss League from 1962, for the reason that the majority of the Alps are in Switzerland. This competition ran from 1960 until 1987. In the 1960s and 1961 editions ranking was compiled by adding the points of the Italian and Swiss teams.
