Danny Stubbs
Daniel Stubbs, II (born January 3, 1965) is a former American football defensive end in the National Football League (NFL) for the San Francisco 49ers, Dallas Cowboys, Cincinnati Bengals, Philadelphia Eagles, and Miami Dolphins. He played college football at the University of Miami. Early years Stubbs attended Red Bank Regional High School in Little Silver, New Jersey. He was a three-year starter in football. He also was a standout in basketball, finishing with a school-record 74 careers blocks, while leading his team to a state basketball title as a junior. He was recruited by Howard Schnellenberger to play college football at the University of Miami, but Schnellenberger left for the United States Football League, USFL before his freshman season started, making Jimmy Johnson (American football coach), Jimmy Johnson his new head coach. The 1987 Fiesta Bowl was a college football bowl game that served as the final game of the 1986 NCAA Division I-A football season. Part of the 1986–87 bowl game season, the 1987 Fiesta Bowl also served as the National Championship Game, between the No. 1 ranked Miami Hurricanes, and the No. 2 Penn State Nittany Lions. The 1986 Miami Hurricanes football team represented the University of Miami during the 1986 NCAA Division I-A football season. It was the Hurricanes' 61st season of football. The Hurricanes were led by third-year head coach Jimmy Johnson and played their home games at the Orange Bowl. Linebacker (LB) is a playing position in gridiron football. Linebackers are members of the defensive team, and line up three to five yards behind the line of scrimmage and the defensive linemen. Jimmy Johnson (American Football Coach)
James William Johnson (born July 16, 1943) is an American sports analyst and former football coach. Johnson served as a head football coach on the collegiate level from 1979 to 1988 and in the National Football League (NFL) for nine seasons. He is the first head football coach to win both a college football national championship and a Super Bowl (Barry Switzer and Pete Carroll have since joined him), achieving the former with Miami and the latter with the Dallas Cowboys. Johnson held his first head football coaching position at Oklahoma State before becoming Miami's head football coach in 1984 and guided the team to victory in the 1988 Orange Bowl. United States Football League
The United States Football League (USFL) was a professional American football league that played for three seasons, 1983 through 1985. The league played a spring/summer schedule in each of its active seasons. The 1986 season was scheduled to be played in the autumn/winter, directly competing against the long-established National Football League (NFL). However, the USFL ceased operations before that season was scheduled to begin. Howard Schnellenberger
Howard Leslie Schnellenberger (March 16, 1934 – March 27, 2021) was an American football coach with long service at both the professional and college levels. He held head coaching positions with the National Football League's Baltimore Colts and in college for the University of Miami, University of Oklahoma, University of Louisville, and Florida Atlantic University. He won a national championship with Miami in 1983. Schnellenberger also worked extensively as an assistant coach at the college and pro levels, including as part of the staff of the undefeated 1972 Miami Dolphins.
