Danny Potter
Daniel Raymond John Potter (born 18 March 1979) is an English retired football goalkeeper. Career Born in Ipswich, Danny Potter started his career as a trainee at Premiership club Chelsea but after failing to make the grade there dropped into lower league football with short spells at Chelmsford City, Weymouth and Exeter City. He came to prominence when he joined Canvey Island in March 2003 along with Lee Boylan and Wayne Purser who were with him at Canvey Island, with whom he gained promotion to the Conference, and on a number of occasions proved to be a key player for them with his solid goalkeeping skills. After Canvey dropped out of the Conference, he was signed by Stevenage Borough by new manager Mark Stimson and promptly impressed in pre-season. Ipswich () is a port town and borough in Suffolk, England, of which it is the county town. The town is located in East Anglia about away from the mouth of the River Orwell and the North Sea. Wayne Purser
Wayne Montague Purser (born 13 April 1980) is an English football striker, most recently at Wivenhoe Town, then in the Isthmian League. He began his career at Queens Park Rangers but failed to make an appearance for the club. He joined Barnet following his release in the summer of 2000, where he recorded one of the FA Cup's fastest ever hat-tricks against Havant & Waterlooville in a Fourth Qualifying Round Replay in 2001. The hat-trick was timed at just four minutes which saw the Bees through to the First round Proper. He then signed for Leyton Orient for £9,000 in March 2003, scoring a hat-trick on his debut. In August 2004 he joined ambitious Hornchurch for £15,000, but the club quickly ran into financial difficulties and, following 11 goals in 14 league games, he joined League One side Peterborough United on a free transfer. Tonbridge ( ) is a market town in Kent, England, on the River Medway, north of Royal Tunbridge Wells, south west of Maidstone and south east of London. In the administrative borough of Tonbridge and Malling, it had an estimated population of 41,293 in 2018. The 2011 Football League Two play-off Final was an association football match which was played on 28 May 2011 at Old Trafford in Manchester, between Stevenage and Torquay United, to determine the fourth and final team to gain promotion from Football League Two to the League One. The top three teams of the 2010–11 Football League Two season, Chesterfield, Bury and Wycombe Wanderers, gained automatic promotion to League One, while those placed from fourth to seventh position took part in play-offs. The winners of the play-off semi-finals competed for the final place for the 2011–12 season in League One. Shrewsbury Town and Accrington Stanley were the defeated semi-finalists, losing to Torquay United and Stevenage respectively. The English Football League Two (often referred to as League Two for short or Sky Bet League Two for sponsorship purposes, and known as the Football League Two from 2004 until 2016) is the third and lowest division of the English Football League (EFL) and fourth-highest division overall in the English football league system. Martin Ling
Martin Ling (born 15 July 1966) is an English football manager and former player currently director of football for Leyton Orient. He played in over 100 Football League matches for each of Exeter City, Southend United, Swindon Town and Leyton Orient, before moving into management. He led Orient for more than five years from 2003 until 2009, and went on to manage Cambridge United, Torquay United and Swindon Town. Playing career Born in West Ham, Greater London, Ling started his career with Exeter City. After a brief spell at Swindon Town in which he made just two appearances, Ling began a five-year spell with Southend United in 1986. During this period he won promotion from the Fourth Division twice, in 1987 and 1990. Swindon paid £15,000 to re-sign Ling in March 1991 where he played 150 league games. The 2009–10 Football Conference season was the sixth season with the Football Conference consisting of three divisions, and the thirty-first season overall. The Conference covers the top two levels of Non-League football in England. The Conference Premier is the fifth highest level of the overall pyramid, whilst the Conference North and Conference South exist at the sixth level. The top team (Stevenage Borough) and the winner of the play-off (Oxford United) of the National division were promoted to Football League Two. Alan Julian
Alan John Julian (born 11 March 1983) is a professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for National League South club Hampton & Richmond Borough. Julian started his career at Brentford, progressing through the club's academy and making his first-team debut in 2002. After failing to secure a place as Brentford's number one goalkeeper, he left to join Stevenage Borough in February 2005. Julian played regularly during his time at Stevenage, helping the club win the FA Trophy in May 2007. He left Stevenage to join Gillingham on a free transfer in May 2008. Julian was released by Gillingham in May 2011, having played 80 games for the club during his three-year tenure.
