Dankpen
Dankpen is a prefecture located in the Kara Region of Togo. The prefecture covers 2 690 km², with a population in 2010 of 130 723. The prefecture seat is located in Guérin-Kouka. It is split into 12 cantons, Guérin-Kouka, Bapuré, Nandouta, Kidjaboum, Namon, Nawaré, Katchamba, Nampoch, Natchiboré, Natchitikpi , Koulfièkou, and Koutchichéou. Environment The climate is semi-humid tropical with wet season from June to October and dry season from November to May, notably characterised by the dry desert wind, the Harmattan. Rainfall is variable, with measurements in Guérin-Kouka of 1273 mm and 1494 mm recorded in 1950 and 1963 respectively. Relief was notably provided after the drought in 2013. Major rivers are the Oti River, which forms its western border, with Ghana, and the Kara River, its tributary, which forms the prefecture's northern border with the Savanes Region, Togo. Centrale Region, Togo
Centrale is one of Togo's five regions. Sokodé is the regional capital. Centrale is the least populated region in Togo with a total of 617,871 people according to a census done in 2010. Other major cities in the Centrale region include Tchamba and Sotouboua. Centrale is divided into the prefectures of Blitta, Subprefecture Mö, Sotouboua, Tchamba, and Tchaoudjo. Centrale is located north of Plateaux Region and south of Kara Region. Like the rest of the regions of Togo, it borders Ghana in the west and Benin in the east — specifically the Northern Region in the northwest and the Volta Region in the southwest, and the Donga Department in the northeast and the Collines Department in the southeast. Fula People

French Togoland
French Togoland (French: '' Togo français'') was a French colonial League of Nations mandate from 1916 to 1960 in French West Africa. In 1960 it became the independent Togolese Republic, and the present day nation of Togo. Transfer from Germany to France and a mandate territory French troops landed at Little Popo on 6 August 1914, meeting little resistance. The French proceeded inland, taking the town of Togo on 8 August. On 26 August 1914, the German protectorate of Togoland was invaded by French and British forces and fell after five days of brief resistance. Togoland
Togoland was a German Empire protectorate in West Africa from 1884 to 1914, encompassing what is now the nation of Togo and most of what is now the Volta Region of Ghana, approximately 90,400 km2 (29,867 sq mi) in size. During the period known as the "Scramble for Africa", the colony was established in 1884 and was gradually extended inland. Konkomba is a Gurma language spoken in Ghana, Togo Geography Konkomba is spoken in Ghana ( Northern Region, Volta Region, Brong Ahafo Region, Eastern Region and Accra), and Togo ( Savanes Region, Kara Region and Plateaux Region). Dialects and literature The Konkomba language, known natively as Likpakpaln, is spoken by the Konkomba people, who are also known as the Bikpakpaam.
