Sven Oscar Kullander
Sven Oscar Kullander (born 30 November 1952 in Sollefteå) is a Sweden, Swedish biologist specialised in ichthyology. He primarily researches cichlids – notably the genus ''Apistogramma'' and the ''Cichlasoma''-complex – and other tropical fresh water fishes. He also has been working with Endangered species, endangered fish species in Sweden. He studied at the universities of Umeå University, Umeå and Stockholm University, Stockholm, and took his Doctor of Philosophy, Ph.D. in Stockholm in 1984. He is currently senior curator at the Swedish Museum of Natural History in Stockholm, with the responsibility for the ichthyologic and Herpetology, herpetologic collections. Kullander also coordinates the museum's contributions to FishBase. Kullander has produced more than 100 scientific and popular publications on fishes, and described many groups and new species of cichlids. Danio
''Danio'' is a genus of small freshwater fish in the family Cyprinidae found in South and Southeast Asia, commonly kept in aquaria. They are generally characterised by a pattern of horizontal stripes, rows of spots or vertical bars. Some species have two pairs of long barbels. Species of this genus consume various small aquatic insects, crustaceans and worms. Taxonomy The name ''"danio"'' comes from the Bangla name ''dhani'', meaning "of the rice field". ''Danio'' was described in the early 19th century by Francis Hamilton. Two of the species included by him in the genus, still remain valid—''D. dangila'' and ''D. rerio''. Brahmaputra River
The Brahmaputra is a trans-boundary river which flows through Tibet, northeast India, and Bangladesh. It is also known as the Yarlung Tsangpo in Tibetan, the Siang/Dihang River in Arunachali, Luit in Assamese, and Jamuna River in Bangla. It is the 9th largest river in the world by discharge, and the 15th longest. With its origin in the Manasarovar Lake region, near Mount Kailash, on the northern side of the Himalayas in Burang County of Tibet where it is known as the Yarlung Tsangpo River, It flows along southern Tibet to break through the Himalayas in great gorges (including the Yarlung Tsangpo Grand Canyon) and into Arunachal Pradesh.
