Danijel Šarić (handballer)
Danijel Šarić (; born 27 June 1977) is a Bosnian-Qatari handball player of Serbian descent who plays for Qatari club Al Arabi and the Qatar national team. Club career After starting out at his hometown club Sloga Doboj and later playing for Borac Banja Luka, Šarić moved to FR Yugoslavia and joined Crvena zvezda. He spent three seasons at the club and won two consecutive national championships (1997 and 1998). In 1999, Šarić switched to ambitious Sintelon, alongside his teammate Ratko Nikolić. In 2003, Šarić moved to Spain and signed with Ciudad Real, but never played for the team. He instead spent the entire duration of his contract on loan with Cantabria and Alcobendas. In 2006, Šarić was acquired by Ademar León. He also played for Portland San Antonio. In 2009, Šarić agreed terms with Barcelona. Doboj
Doboj ( sr-cyrl, Добој, ) is a city located in Republika Srpska, an entity of Bosnia and Herzegovina. It is situated on the banks of Bosna river, in the northern region of the Republika Srpska. As of 2013, it has a population of 71,441 inhabitants. Doboj is the largest national railway junction and the operational base of the Railways Corporation of Bosnia and Herzegovina is located in Doboj. It is one of the oldest cities in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the most important urban center in northern Republika Srpska. EHF Champions League
The Men's EHF Champions League is the most important club handball competition for men's teams in Europe and involves the leading teams from the top European nations. The competition is organised every year by EHF. The official name for the men's competition is the EHF Champions League Men. The EHF coefficient rank decides which teams have access and in which stage they enter. Eligibility and qualifying Each year, the EHF publishes a ranking list of its member federations. The first 9 nations are automatically permitted to participate in the tournament with their national champion. Ratko Nikolić (; born 15 September 1977) is a Serbian politician and former handball player serving as a Member of parliament, member of the National Assembly (Serbia), National Assembly since 8 December 2021. He is a member of the Socialist Party of Serbia (SPS). Handball at the 2018 Asian Games was held at the POPKI Sports Hall, Jakarta, Indonesia, from 13 August to 31 August 2018. In this tournament, 13 teams participated in the men's competition while 10 teams participated in the women's competition. The 2020 Asian Men's Handball Championship was the 19th edition of the championship held under the aegis of Asian Handball Federation in Kuwait City, Kuwait from 16 to 27 January 2020. It acted as the Asian qualifying tournament for the 2021 World Men's Handball Championship. Qatar won their fourth consecutive title by defeating South Korea 33–21 in the final. 2015 World Men's Handball Championship
The 2015 World Men's Handball Championship was the 24th staging of the World Men's Handball Championship, organised by the International Handball Federation (IHF). The final tournament was held for the first time in Qatar, from 15 January to 1 February 2015. The Qatari bid was selected over those of Norway, Poland and France after a vote by the IHF Council on 27 January 2011, in Malmö, Sweden. This was the third time that the World Championship was hosted in the Middle East And North Africa, after Egypt in 1999 and Tunisia in 2005. France won the final against Qatar 25–22 to win their fifth title, a first in handball history while Qatar won their first ever medal. Poland captured the bronze medal by defeating Spain 29–28 after extra time. Denmark secured the fifth place by winning against Croatia which finished sixth and thus had the worst result in the past 13 years of international handball competing.
