Daniello Bartoli, SJ (; 12 February 160813 January 1685) was an Italian Jesuit writer and historiographer, celebrated by the poet Giacomo Leopardi as the "Dante of Italian prose" Ferrara He was born in Ferrara. His father, Tiburzio was a chemist associated with the Este court of Alfonso II d'Este. When the papacy refused to recognize his illegitimate successor the court moved in 1598 under Cesare d'Este, Duke of Modena. During the Cinquecento and due to a host of writers including Ariosto and Tasso Renaissance Ferrara was the literary capital of Italian letters along with Florence, whereas the language of papal Rome was humanist Latin. Daniello Marco Dolfino or Daniel Marc Delfin (born 5 October 1653 in Venice, then in the Republic of Venice and died in Brescia on 5 August 1704) is an Italian cardinal of the late seventeenth and early eighteenth century and member of the noble family Delfin. He is a grand-nephew of Cardinal Giovanni Delfino (seniore) (1604) and a nephew of Cardinal Giovanni Delfino (iuniore) (1667). Biography Dolfino performs functions in the Roman Curia, including as a referendum to the Supreme Court of the Apostolic Signatura. He was vice-legate at Avignon from 1692 to 1696. He was elected titular archbishop of Damascus and sent as apostolic nuncio to France in 1696. Daniello Concina (20 October 1687 – 21 February 1756) was an Italian Dominican preacher, controversialist and theologian. Biography He was born at Clauzetto, in what is now the Province of Pordenone in Friuli. On the completion of his early studies at the Jesuit college at Görz (then in Austria), he entered the Dominican Order making his religious profession in March 1708, in the convent of Sts. Martin and Rose. After studying philosophy three years, he was sent to study theology in the convent of the Holy Rosary at Venice, where he spent eight years under the direction of the fathers of his order, Domenico Andriussi and Giovanni Alberto Zanchio. In 1717 he was appointed to the chair of philosophy, and later to that of theology, in the convent of Forlì. About this time he began to attract attention as a preacher.
