Daniela Mercury (born Daniela Mercuri de Almeida on July 28, 1965) is a Brazilian singer, songwriter, dancer, producer, actress and television host. In her solo career, Mercury has sold over 20 million records worldwide and had 24 Top 10 singles in the country, with 14 of them reached No. 1. Winner of a Latin Grammy for her album '' Balé Mulato – Ao Vivo'', she also received six Brazilian Music Award, an APCA award, three Multishow Brazilian Music Awards and two awards at VMB: Best Music Video and Photography. "Ilê Pérola Negra (O Canto do Negro)" (Portuguese for ''"Ilê Dark Pearl (The chant of the Black"'') is a song recorded by the brazilian singer Daniela Mercury. The song was originally released in 2000 as the first single of the album ''Sol da Liberdade'', Mercury's fifth studio album. Information The song is, actually, the combination of two different songs: "O Canto do Negro" written by Miltão and "Pérola Negra" written by Guiguio and Rene Veneno. The lyric of "Ilê Pérola Negra (O Canto do Negro)" basically praises the wealth of the African brazilian culture, especially of Bahia, which is notable on the made reference to Ilê Aiyê. Jorge Mário da Silva, more commonly known by his stage name Seu Jorge (Seu, an abbreviation of "Senhor"; born June 8, 1970; ), is a Brazilian musical artist, songwriter, and actor. Preta ( sa, प्रेत, bo, ཡི་དྭགས་ ''yi dags''), also known as hungry ghost, is the Sanskrit name for a type of supernatural being described in Hinduism, Buddhism, Taoism, and Chinese folk religion as undergoing suffering greater than that of humans, particularly an extreme level of hunger and thirst. They have their origins in Indian religions and have been adopted into East Asian religions via the spread of Buddhism. It was released on October 24 in the United States and on October 27 in the European Union. Mercury's first studio release in four years brings not only an eclectic sound, but also five different covers. Information The album was produced by five musicians: Mercury herself and her son Gabriel Póvoas, in addition to Ramiro Musotto, Alfredo Moura, Mikael Mutti. Cirque du Soleil (, ; "Circus of the Sun" or "Sun Circus") is a Canadian entertainment company and the largest contemporary circus producer in the world.
