Daniel Ritchie (born 6 January 1987 in Margate) is a British rower. Rowing career Ritchie was introduced to rowing while attending The Southport School in Queensland, Australia. He was part of the British squad that topped the medal table at the 2011 World Rowing Championships in Bled, where he won a silver medal as part of the eight with Nathaniel Reilly-O'Donnell, Cameron Nichol, James Foad, Alex Partridge, Moe Sbihi, Greg Searle, Tom Ransley and Phelan Hill. Margate, Kent
Margate is a seaside resort, seaside town on the north coast of Kent in south-east England. The town is estimated to be 1.5 miles long, north-east of Canterbury and includes Cliftonville, Garlinge, Palm Bay, UK, Palm Bay and Westbrook, Kent, Westbrook. Tom Ransley
Thomas Matthew Ransley (born 6 September 1985) is a retired British Rowing (sport), rower. At the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro he was part of the British crew that won the gold medal in the Rowing at the 2016 Summer Olympics – Men's eight, eight, was twice a World Champion and in 2015 was the European Champion in the men's coxless four. Early life Ransley attended Dulwich Preparatory School in Cranbrook, Kent. Following this, he went to The King's School, Canterbury and then went into higher education at the University of York and the University of Cambridge. International Rowing Federation
World Rowing, also known as the World Rowing Federation (former abbreviation FISA; french: Fédération internationale des sociétés d'aviron), is the international governing body for rowing. Its current president is Jean-Christophe Rolland who succeeded Denis Oswald at a ceremony held in Lucerne in July 2014. William Spencer Satch (born 9 June 1989) is a British Rowing (sport), rower and Olympic gold medallist. Rowing career Satch was educated at Shiplake College near Henley-on-Thames in southeast Oxfordshire. His rowing coach was New Zealand gold medallist Shane O'Brien (rower), Shane O'Brien, who was deputy headmaster at Shiplake College. Satch rows for Leander Club in Henley-on-Thames, and was appointed a vice-captain of the club in 2018. Satch won the bronze medal, rowing with George Nash (rower), George Nash in the Rowing at the 2012 Summer Olympics – Men's coxless pair, coxless pair at the 2012 Summer Olympics. George Nash (rower)
George Christopher Nash (born 2 October 1989) is a British rower. He is dual Olympian, dual Olympic medal winner and three time world champion. Education Nash attended Lanesborough School in Guildford and Winchester College, where he was Vice-Captain of the Boat Club. He then studied Engineering at St. Catharine's College, Cambridge, where he was a member of the Cambridge University Boat Club. Nash initially rowed in the Cambridge reserve boat, Goldie, in 2009. He rowed in Cambridge's Blue Boat in the 2010 and 2011 Boat Races, winning in 2010 and losing in 2011. He took the 2011–2012 year off from Cambridge in order to focus on the 2012 Summer Olympics. Upon his return to Cambridge for the 2012–2013 year, Nash was elected as President of the Cambridge University Boat Club. He sat in the 5-seat of the losing crew of the 2013 race. Andrew Triggs Hodge
Andrew Triggs Hodge (born 3 March 1979) is a British former rower - a three time Olympic champion and four time world champion. In the British coxless four in 2012 he set a world's best time which still stood as of 2021. Education Born in Halton, Buckinghamshire, he moved to Hebden near Grassington in 1980. He went to Burnsall Primary School in Burnsall then Upper Wharfedale School, a secondary modern school in Threshfield. He then completed sixth form at South Craven School, a secondary school near Skipton. Pete Reed
Peter K. Reed OBE (born 27 July 1981) is a retired British Olympic rower. Reed is a three-times Olympic gold medallist – earning gold in the Men's coxless four at the 2008 and 2012 Olympics, and then a gold medal in the Men's eight at the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro. He has won five gold medals and three silver medals at the World Championships. Background and military career Reed was born in Seattle, Washington, US but his family moved to England several months later. He was brought up in Nailsworth, Gloucestershire and attended Cirencester Deer Park School, and later Cirencester College for his A-levels. Reed is a Lieutenant Commander in the Royal Navy and began rowing relatively late. Alex Gregory
Alexander John Gregory, (born 11 March 1984) is an English rower and a two-time Olympic Gold medallist from 2012 and 2016 in the Coxless four. Education Alex Gregory was educated at the Richard Pate School in Cheltenham, then Bredon Hill Middle School, a comprehensive school in Ashton under Hill, Worcestershire, followed by Prince Henry's High School in Evesham. He later attended the University of Reading in Berkshire from which he graduated in 2006. Career Born in Cheltenham, Gregory gained his first GB vest in 2004 at the World Rowing U23 Championships in Poland, finishing 11th in the quad. At the World U23 Championships in 2005 he was 4th in the double and 8th in the single the following year. He has been a full member of the men's squad since his graduation from university.
