Daniel Pendín
Daniel Alberto 'Dani' Pendín Sánchez (born 29 October 1974) is an Argentine retired footballer who played as a central midfielder, currently the assistant coach of Spanish club UD Almería. He spent most of his 16-year career in Spain, appearing in 245 Segunda División games over the course of nine seasons (35 goals) while playing mainly for Xerez and Castellón. Playing career Pendín was born in Rosario, Santa Fe. A product of Newell's Old Boys' youth ranks he could never impose himself in its first team, also being loaned two times, including once in Uruguay with Huracán Buceo. Aged 23, he was released and moved to Spain with Real Oviedo Vetusta – Real Oviedo's reserves – never appearing officially for the main squad. 2009–10 Segunda División
The 2009–10 Segunda División season (known as the Liga Adelante for sponsorship reasons) was the 79th since its establishment. The first matches of the season were played on 29 August 2009, and the season ended on 19 June 2010. Real Betis, Numancia and Recreativo de Huelva are the teams which were relegated from La Liga the previous season. The teams which were promoted from Segunda División B were: Cádiz (champion), Cartagena (runner-up), Real Unión (play-off winner) and Villarreal B (play-off winner). The first goal of the season was scored by Quique de Lucas, who scored a seventh-minute goal for Cartagena against Girona in the early kick-off. Segunda División B ( en, Second Division B) was the third tier of the Spanish football league system containing 102 teams divided into five groups, until it was replaced by the new structure in 2021. It was administered by the Royal Spanish Football Federation.
